The first customer Ram 1500 TRX will be built December 15th.
- Mark Stewart, FCA COO, 2020-12-08, FCA year end corporate town hall.
If anything the Corvettes should be getting 30 or 40 mpg considering how light and low drag coefficients they are compared to a lifted truck with 35" mud tires.
Complaining about poor gas mileage in the TRX is similar to complaining about low cargo & tow capacity of the Vette, or Toyota Prius...
Has anyone added a gauge pod (single, dual or more) to their 5th gen Ram? Looking for a single pod to sit between grab handle and dash cluster that sits on the dash or if I must replace the grab handle with a gauge pod cluster. What mfg have you used? Pics if you can.
Thanks
In 35+ years of driving, have CDL A, and towed multiple bumper pulls, GN and 5th wheel trailers i state this....I would feel much safer towing a fifth or GN that is at max or even slightly over ( ~100lbs or so ) then a bumper pull that is under weight especially in adverse conditions or during...
If you really want this truck I would suggest to wait. I did a similar mistake being impatient and regret it. However, if you really don't like the truck then by all means jump ship but don't jump just because its not coming fast enough or you may regret it like I did. I had a 19 black out...
If you can wait on the TRX I would. I got a killer deal on my 18 Trackhawk 6 months after people were paying MSRP or above. Koons Jeep had 26 Trackhawks in stock and needed to get them sold as the 19s were coming in. Its all about supply/demand and right now the demand is extremely high and...
Had a 18 Trackhawk and my multiple tank average (hand calculated using Fuely) was in the 9's. My 2019 Ram with the supercharged 426 is probably in the same ballpark or worse....haven't calculated yet. I average about 250 miles per tank (33 gallon). I am not complaining, and if you buy these...
They haven't even started to build production units yet. Dealers have no allocations left until next round (i.e. next year). You'd have better luck finding someone who doesn't want to wait and backed out to take their allocation. Finding a dealer with that and not wanting to add mark-up ----...
On another board specific to Ram TRX there are some captures/quotes from people who work the production line and stated production will resume next week. Guess this assumes they were on hold because of part supply and/or covid issues. Either way I read no 'production' TRX was built...
if they do i just may upgrade. would be a hard sell...alteady pushing almost 900hp already. lowered truck with right drivetrain that can handled 4wd launches. nice.
I said I would never consider one and decided to build my own version of the TR (less X) and so far its been an interesting ride. However, after seeing video of the truck, and pics it is growing on me.
Today I caught a video that shows the payload sticker inside the door jam and I believe it...
My Trackhawk floated between 8 to 9mpg average over multiple tanks hand calculated. True average not some 50 mile easy highway run. Never once did I complain. Ya just know that going into it, but I agree there will be countless threads on how bad MPG is with these TRX's just as people...
Sorry...but the pineapple who wrote this article is what's wrong with media today. He is extremely bias, and his personal agenda shines through hard. His name should be removed from every jury list in the US as there is no way he could give an impartial judgement. How dare he judge the truck...
I am not sure but I believe the AMP steps go lower then the factory ones. i know they offer 2 different sizes and I got the standard size (not XL). I installed the AMP steps and when they open with the truck in EE mode (I have air suspension) they almost hit the ground. I don't recall the...
May be an indication of just how small a group of Ram owners go on forum boards and then this particular board. Another reason why when a few people complain about the quality of the brand or have an issue it may not always point to a serious issue effecting majority or all trucks.
If true this kind of stinks. FCA should at least offer a Brembo or other upgrade for these trucks. You have extra weight and larger diameter tires so you will need more clamping pressure to stop the vehicle. If you drive it normal and not track it ( which this truck is not designed for) I...
