All interesting information. FWIW, the line is open already, and it was a day or two later. Seriously, those guys work wickedly fast.
Interesting that you mention a monster slow order. I have a friend that lives about 1/4 mile from where the derailment happened. He said the trains are...
Oh, and FWIW, they had that rail repaired and open wicked fast. Still a lot of work needs done along side the track, but it's crazy how fast the railroad works to get trains moving again.
No scratch & dent sales, but they're not being crushed either.
I'm not sure how much is public record yet so I won't go into too much detail. There were a LOT of Jeeps on board and just about as many F-150's, in addition to the other cargo.
That said though, they're "salvaging" the vehicles...
Welcome to the forum boot.
I drive a Durango for work, and my Ram is my "recreational" vehicle. Much like the guy who had yours before you, I've got very little miles on my truck. One thing is very clear though, long trips in the Ram are MUCH more comfortable than the Durango. Don't get me...
You're correct that the diameter matters too, and it certainly shouldn't be ignored. The negative offset the OP is running is also a factor (maybe even more so than the width). Many things go into fitting wheels/tires on a truck so we obviously can't say any one thing exclusively will make or...
Either should be a good choice.
I've to 285/75/18 on my truck now and ran the same size on my last Jeep. It's a great size. They're similar diameter to most "35's" while being narrower/lighter than their 35x12.5 counterparts. As the others have mentioned, the narrower width is likely what...
Well that's odd. Unless you've got a ton of miles on your truck, you should still be under warranty. Get that fixed while you still can.
The factory nav will still work without paying extra for the uconnect subscription. The only catch is that you have to pay for updated maps if you want them...
I've never used Waze, but I have had other navigation systems over the years have a little lag. Not usually as much as 30 seconds, but lag is not unheard of.
This is why the "maximum speed" displayed on navigators can be unreliable. If it's lagging then gets a current/accurate ping your...
They are 18 x 9 with the same 19mm offset that all the other Ram wheels have (although those are 8" wide instead). So the backspacing is 5.2" instead of 4.7".
I think the biggest issue people have with trying to make them fit is the width of the tire. 12.5" wide tires aren't going to fit on...
They've got an "M+S" stamp, but not the 3 peak like the Duratrac had. The treads do have siping so I suspect the reason they didn't get the mountain and snowflake was because the rubber is too hard to meet all the requirements to meet that standard. That's likely why you're seeing the stamp on...
I was going to mention load too.
Keep in mind the front tires and rear tires are carrying different loads due to the weight distribution on trucks. Yet the general person keeps all 4 tires at the same pressure. The front of a truck is obviously heavier than the rear, so if the front tires are...
The size is a bit uncommon, but the diameter isn't. They're just narrower 35's than normal. A lot of people run 35" tires with typically being 35x12.5 R__. I don't want 12.5" wide tires because they are abysmal in snow/ice, which I realize isn't an issue for everyone. Some people may choose...
Yeah, I moved a few of my wheel weights because they were hitting the caliper too. It has nothing to do with the tire, just minimal clearance of the Rebel wheels over the caliper. This could happen with any size tire, depending on how the shop balances them. Probably more likely to happen on...
They aren't bad in the snow.
I don't know if I'd say they're better for it than the Duratrac though. The Duratrac handled snow/ice great as long as you don't have 12.5" (I don't think any are very good that wide).
Another good one for snow is the Falken Wildpeak AT3. Not that the KO2 is bad...
I've had several trucks with Duratracs on them. I think 60K is pretty close to their limit. 80K actually is really good. OP milked them for all they were worth.
That said, I've never had any issues with them cupping or being loud. Overall, I think they're great tires, but they tend to be...
I'm running the same size tires (Cooper instead of Toyo though) on my leveled Big Horn. I'd concur that it's probably the biggest you're going to fit without modifications.
Clearance with the UCA is about as close as you can get without wheel spacers or a different offset wheel.
Yes it's Uconnect, but it's in a Jeep/Dodge/Ram vehicle. It reflects on them.
Just like a crappy employee at the Pizza Planet can give that francize a bad name. A company is only as good as the parts/people they use/employ.
There was only a brief "I hate Google" fest, then it went to the pros/cons of factory nav versus using your phone. Which is kind of in the theme of the thread, since the updates and traffic are one of the features that go away if you don't pay for them.
Besides, once the list of items that...
