Salesmen say lots of things...
When I ordered my wife's truck nothing was on delay; RamBox and eT were late availability, but not an issue. Went D1 on 7/1 when those late availability items went into production. And I've never had a restriction listed on our POC... still hasn't been built.
I literally walked into the GM's office on Saturday and just straight asked him where he was getting his information; I haven't told him I'm tracking the order on here. He swore he had a screen shot other than the POC that showed an estimated ship date of 9/14 that production was standing...
Customer Service / Customer Care is worthless... no one knows what anyone is doing at FCA in terms of Ram truck production... its a complete crap shoot and luck of the draw if your truck gets built or not.
While this is the correct process, it only gets you so far... it took months on complaining about my wife's 16, and three transmissions before they'd finally offer t buy it back and place an order for a replacement '19, which we're still waiting to be built.
A good dealership will work with...
Still D1. Dealership GM, who has been pestering the local FCA reps for service and production, was told my order would go INTO production on 9/2, estimated ship date of 9/14. According to tracking we're still sitting in D1... 9/14 is only 4 days away. Not holding my breath. SUPER FRUSTRATED...
Ordered 5/4... gone D1 twice... my dealership was "told" my truck would go into production scheduled on 9/2 with estimated ship date of 9/14...
Still sitting in D1... not holding my breath. ;(
No movement on my wife's truck's replacement order; orderd 5/4, D1 7/1, then 8/24... GM at my dealership was "told" it would go into production on 9/2 with an estimated ship date of 9/14... I'm still sitting D1... and 9/14 is only 4 days away. I'm not holding my breath. Super frustrated.
If anyone happens upon the following configuration I'd appreciate knowing about it; I'll make my local dealership and FCA play fetch!
2019 Limited Crew 4x4 5'7" Box, eTorque, Anti-Spin Differential Rear Axle, 3.92 Rear Axle Ratio, 33-Gallon Fuel Tank, Level 1 Equipment Group, Protection Group...
I have, but that is tedious... I used this...

Then found distances outside of so far from my location say, ~300 miles, and tried searching... never found an exact match, or anything with a Rambox frankly... I also used Edmunds...
Unfortunately mine is a Lemon Replacement... MSRP to MSRP from our '16 Sport (thankfully getting almost full MSRP) to this '19 Limited. Just wish SOMEONE could give me any kind of an answer as to why... "should be" and "that's all I have" are not acceptable answers.
Ugh... VIN is KN600011; my truck ordered 5/4 by my dealership is KN595596... and mine still hasn't STARTED production... FCA, WTF?!?!?! This is just ridiculous... grr. Sorry, venting...
I was told by my local GM that he was told by production manager, that my order would go into production the week of 9/2 as ordered... still no movement as of yesterday, but it was a holiday weekend, so I'm still patiently waiting
Nice to see movement on some of the orders... I placed my order with the dealer 5/1, dealer placed their order 5/4... truck went D1 on 7/1, then back to D on 8/15 or so... and no change since. Sitting at 113 days since order. My local General Manager called me last week stating he was told...
