Yeah, being in D since the end of June has me thinking similar. It's frustrating. I'm wondering if this is a coordinated effort to slow-roll the early orders to get people to abandon them so they can be filled with "streamlined" order package trucks.
Let the conspiracies fly!
This is what is so frustrating. Just yesterday, my dealer received feedback from their Stellantis Rep that this combination is what is holding up my June 119xxx order:
Air Ride Suspension
Trailer Towing
Bed Utility Group
Off Road Group
It's clear the first 3 are bull#$%t because we are seeing...
I saw an email from Ram this morning...I got a little excited to be honest. Could I be D1 now after 5 months of waiting?
It was for a $%$^&*#$ credit card offer!
So much hate
@RamCares
I just called the Ram Cares line about my 119 VIN Longhorn.
The agent was very pleasant. After two long holds, I was told that she "couldn't access my information" but that she did see I had an escalated case and was making a note for "someone" to contact me
I did actually get my...
Lol just beat me by a couple seconds!!!
No joy, but now I know. Thanks again for everything you are doing. Without you so many of us would be completely in the dark.
Kills me seeing a 193XXX Longhorn though, even if it is going to my home state.
I've worked in manufacturing operations in a few different industries for over 25 years. This is the only plausible rationale on their build strategy (based on the data this thread has been generating) I've seen so far. Like everyone else, I can't see any other distinct patterns. Well...
Not sure it Is happening that way. My truck is plain old white so it isn't a paint issue, and well over $70K, so it isn't an "in between" truck. I ordered in June, 119xxx VIN and no status change whatsoever.
To your first point, I also ordered a car recently. I got the allocation a couple...
This truck is pretty damn close to my spec, and ~18,000 VINs later.
The window sticker price of the Level 1 equipment group has gone up substantially, even considering the ASG and tech group inclusions.
They also "escalated" my case and I received an email from "Cara" with exactly zero additional information. I think "Jeff" and "Cara" are bots, spitting out AI-driven canned responses. These responses sound just empathetic and logical enough to make us go away for a week or two.
That is exactly the story I got. But then he backed it up with this list of the new Level 1 equipment group:
Longhorn Level 1 Equipment Group (A68)
Details:
Adaptive Cruise Control w/Stop & Go (NHZ)
Surround View Camera System (XAK)
Blind Spot and Cross Path Detection (XAN)
Parallel & Perp...
Same here. $72k+ Limited Longhorn ordered at the end of June and no movement whatsoever. And I'm in DFW. Not like there aren't any trucks on trains coming this way...
Here in TX our inspection/registration sticker gets mounted on the lower left inside of the windshield. When replacing this sticker in July on my F-150 I actually got a mild burn on the back of my hand from the black dash. It was avoidable-I could have just covered it first, but I didn't...
My order was 6/30. My dealer sent me a new POC and the tech group and ASG I ordered were missing. Then he sent me a new listing of the Level 1 group where most if not all of the items were included in Level 1 now. At least the ones I really cared about...I didn't go line by line.
