My Mopar batteries lasted 2 years. Post #3 seems the way to go as far as price and warranty.

That's very sad. Six years ago there was so much excitement with the 5th generation and hope that Ram was moving up in the top 3 standings. I think Ram Cares is an AI answering machine these days.
What is the actual time to replace hemi manifolds? How much time to get the vehicle in and out...
Because Honda doesn't make a full size truck.
Is Ford and GMC that much better?
I test drove a Ford and the ride was as good as my 2001 Dodge Ram 1500. Never tried a GMC as I was sold on the Ram after a test ride with the coil springs. Ram was also aggressive on rebates at the time, 5k.
Depending on the circumstances.
Decided to focus on home improvement and promotional exams. I had limited time and good mechanics so I left it up to them. I do my own work on my BMW motorcycles. I've done the bucket shims, abs system and replaced a seal. Still trying to find the time for...
Maintenance? Truck sounds like a rebuild. Fenders?
I have the 2001 Dodge Ram, transmission rebuilt (that's with tranny fluid changed at 25K intervals), rear end replaced and repair/maintenance on front end. It has 87K miles.
My brother has a 2500 Dodge Ram with Cummins diesel he has replaced...
Whats's your maintainence on fuel pumps?
NJTKP break down, pump worked just not enough pressure. Tha mechanic saved it for his auto class? How about a crank position sensor?
My fleet is old. Bought a 1990 Celica with a 153000 miles and put about 40k on it. What's the maintaining for sales...
You can bring up examples of car companies having issues, bring in whatever country you want. Play all you want, a new vehicle is not going to have the potential problems of older vehicles.
And that is one of the reasons people buy new and lease.
Sure you can keep a car running after a repair...
I have an old fleet. Sometimes parts can be a problem, sometimes the problem isn't so easily diagnosed. Had a clogged check valve on the charcoal canister that created a vacuum in the gas tank. Had to have the gas cap cracked for a while. The charcoal canister is no longer available for a...
I think you will find many that are happy with the BakFlip Mx4.

The spare will disintegrate in time without some care. That is based on my experience and conditions and I am sure others will vary. I drop it with tire rotations or oil changes, spray the cable with some wd 40 or similar, give it a wash and some wax and even touched up the rust with some...
I appreciate all the advice and is well received. BUT I have the "Lifetime Warranty" which I'm sure that oil not meeting their specs or certification, even if better, would give them a reason to deny my warranty. Hopefully this week it will be into the shop to start the process of having it...
Thanks for the info.
I've used the Mopar MO339 filter and Penzoil Ultra Platinum (PUP) and Rotella 5W-20 both meeting the MS 6395 Mopar approved standard.
I talk to folks who have a 5th generation and it seems most have a lease are not that enthusiastic as members are on the forum. I started the 4th month with my Ram needing a motor based on it being started and sounding like a bucket of bolts. I don't know how service is with other brands but...
