just to confirm for others, this (for whatever reason) does not work on every 12" radio. I can confirm that no "Reset" method suggest has worked for my 2020 other than a battery disconnect.
I have wondered about that as some SXM music stations actually use the Wi-Fi, it even tells you by changing the icon from a satellite to the Wi-Fi signal. It would make more sense to pull that data (weather, traffic , etc..) from the Wi-Fi but I'm not 100% sure.
I was going to reply to you and say not to even bother but I figured it was too late... Truthfully, I think that "solution" form SXM was just an inside joke from the "support" guys....
I think they have been "looking into" issues since the 2019's, its my understanding they still continue to have issues and lack updates.
As I've said before, I believe the goal was to shoehorn these radios out the door (issues or not) because of the big 12" screen, then they (Ram/Uconnect)...
What bothers me is its just not the weather map affected by this issue. And I wonder what will happen as time goes on, its a longevity thing. Maybe in two years an update gets pushed and something else breaks or works like sh_t... who knows. Multiple things use and rely on the radio (Att wifi...
I've put these up before on other posts in the forum. Both Uconnect & SXM state a "Hardware issue"... The two emails are from Uconnect regarding the vehicle Heath reports not working for the 2020's. The Twitter post is from SXM regarding the Weather map (Travel Link), etc... glitching out. Note...
I have heard this explanation a few times before in the forums but does anyone know where this came from or any documentation regarding it?
SiriusXM has also told me that a hardware issue with the radio causes the weather map issues, etc... I wonder why this is not considered a defect and a...
It honestly amazes me that they cant get a handle on the the issues with these radios (19,20,21...) It's really concerning for the longevity of these trucks. You would think they would have specific people to just handle the infotainment due to its importance & complexity in this particular...
Glade the fuse pull worked, the only logic I see from a complete battery disconnect is who knows how many different components are on a single fuse. Like, is the Wifi module (Telematics) on the same fuse as the radio, or the amp, the navigation, multi media module, etc... I think there are a...
It's a gamble... I personally avoid the dealer at all costs, always have. Unless it's a recall or TSB and they have to screw with it, I try to fix it myself or ignore it.
Right now my power mirror folding button sticks horribly, I've even had them pull in while driving all the sudden ... But I...
Can confirm (again), I decided to call Sirius yesterday and see what kind of deal I could get for the Sirius Guardian service and after some back and forth they finally tell me there is a 6 month plan for $60, Convenience + Security package so I agreed to that.
Voice search (mic icon) is back...
This is one of the exact reasons why I'm hellbent on the factory Nav/radio being better supported/updated by Ram... I've had several times now where Android auto is glitchy or not working, errors, strange screen behavior (Waze zooming in and out all crazy for example), sometimes text messages...
The lack of engine code, error code or whatever is just crazy for this type of vehicle especially with the eTorque. I always thought it was weird that more information was not presented to the driver regarding this system. My refrigerator offers more diagnostic data than this...
I'm also...
I'm very interested as to how Power & Enter perform a reset on some of the 12" radios because that combination does absolutely nothing for me other turn the radio off.
Yeah, unfortunately the banks give no ****s about things like that. It was not a good experience but I could only do so much. It was great when VW got busted with the diesel scandal and had to buy the damn thing back, the whole thing was crazy...
I can say that my ride to work every day...
Yeah, has to be the same problem over and over and they get multiple chances to fix it, has to be well documented, etc... Even as bad as our issue was we didn't use the LL.
There gonna fix the truck most likely but like I said, you'll have to keep on them. I would be surprised if it was...
