No issue at all. Aside from the fact that I have to step higher to get into the truck, I would've never known she was lifted. I suspect the air ride contributes to that smoothness as the lift is just strut spacers. Tires will play a big role in the ride quality as well, which is another reason I...
This is with 1.5" up front and 2" in the rear. The front track is already .4" wider than the rear stock. These are 295/55R22 (basically 35x12.5) on the stock black 22" rims (22x9 ET 19)
She drives wonderful! I paid the extra $200 for the better RC V2 shocks. And since I got a load E tire rather than load F, the ride isn't harsh over small bumps especially on the 22s. Only thing is it dropped my fuel economy by 3mpg which I figured.
Also, after the lift you might need to take...
I will admit it takes the Boras a long time to be machined and shipped out (4 weeks for my order) but they've always been the most recommended spacer and to me its worth the extra cost when you have an entire community backing their performance. Also note that you can get steel spacers from Bora...
I can't confirm but I think you would be fine. People run 35x12.5 with just the 2 inch leveling kit with no rubbing. So a 4 inch lift and those tires should be fine. You'll start to rub with anything over 1" spacer or aftermarket rims with too high of a negative offset.
I can grab measurements later this afternoon. But I can confirm that all air ride modes still work after the lift.
EDIT: Measurements are below. Keep in mind my tires are 295/55R22 which is a 34.8" by 12.2" tire versus a 35x12.5 which is really only a 34.5" tire. Running 45 PSI front and 40 PSI...
I fill up at either Sam's or Costco so they only have 87 or 93. I've ran both and haven't noticed much of a difference. I feel like there is a slight power decrease when running 87 but it also seemed like I got better fuel economy running 87 vs 93. I tested two tanks running both grades over 300...
Finally got my RC 5 inch lift installed today. Love the way it looks. I went with Toyo AT3 295/55R22 since they were only $400 per tire vs $500 for 35x12.5 (basically same size tire) on the factory black 22" rims. I have 1.5" spacers up front and 2" in the rear. There is minor rubbing up front...
I would assume you can swap the mud flaps but not 100% sure. But there have been numerous members with the same issue when going with 2" spacers up front. They rub. I went with 1.5" up front and 2" in the rear. Especially since the front track is already about a half inch wider anyway. I haven't...
With the RC lift, can you still use all levels of Air Ride control? (Entry/Exit, Aero, Normal, OR1, OR2)
I noticed in the Q&A on their website, RC said you can't use OR1 or OR2 after the lift.
I went ahead and did 1.5" up front and 2" for the rear. Also, getting the RC lift, just waiting for installer availability.
Love the truck and the stance! Exactly what I'm going for. What suspension height is that pic? (Normal, OR1, OR2)
Looking to add spacers to my 2021 Limited with the 22" wheels. It seems like everyone is only using 1 size spacer for all four wheels. My issue with this is the track width is different between the front and the rear:
Front track (")
68.5
Rear track (")
68.1
In order to keep things even, I'm...
Wondering if anyone has a 2021 Limited on factory 22's and has installed either the BDS or RC lift.
Leaning towards RC for that extra inch as I plan to run 35x12.5 on the factory 22" rims. Also planning on adding spacers but unsure whether to go 1" front / 1.5" rear or 1.5" front and 2" rear...
Glad I came across this. First of all, nice build! I just picked up a 2021 Limited with HK system and am heading down this same path. I was looking at the same box too. Any issues with it at all or any "gotchas" after install?
Also, I see you went with the PAC AP4-CH41 instead of just the...
