Replaced the stock third brake light on my ‘19 with the OEM LED third brake light from the ‘21+’s (Part # 68444540AB). A bit overpriced for what it is… but after seeing some of the quality control issues on the aftermarket ones, I decided to splurge and get the OEM CHMSL. The cargo light is...
Correct. Since the top accent strips on the projector LED’s also function as the turn signals, only the top strips would function as DRL’s if you set the DRL location to the turn signals. You could still disable the signature lighting and then only the top strip would light up (amber).
You may want to check again. From the factory, the accent (signature) lighting strips are on at all times when the ignition is in run, whether the engine is running or not. The low beams are configured as the DRL’s and can be turned on/off through the radio. The accent lights are fairly dim, so...
You can use AlfaOBD to disable the signature lighting (what you’re calling “eyebrows”) so that they do not come on with ignition in the run position, engine off or on. They will still function normally as parking lights when your headlights are on. I used AlfaOBD to disable the signature...
On Uconnect 4, it’s under Settings - Camera - ParkView Backup Camera - Camera Active Guidelines - On. It should be very similar if not the exact same on Uconnect 5.
Update: Switch was delivered today. I left plenty of room below it for when I inevitably want to add another switch in the future.
Switch used: Billet Automotive Buttons 19MM 'LIGHT BAR' BILLET PUSH BUTTON SWITCH
I went with the latching, black backlit version with orange LED to match the...
Took mine to the dealer for my 2nd installment of the 3 for $100 oil change service contract through Mopar. Also had them cut a plain door key to use with a hide-a-key box.
I followed these instructions when I recalibrated for my 275/65R20’s (2672 mm) and have never had any issues with the parking sensors not working. I use the ERCI security gateway bypass and OBDLink MX+.
I haven’t mounted a switch just yet. Currently waiting for the switch I ordered from Billet Automotive Buttons to come in. The company is in Australia so it has to go through customs first. I’m using a switch I had laying around as a temporary fix. I plan to mount the new switch similarly to...
For those wondering what separated lighting brake lamp dropout turned off (CBC Features: Separated Lighting Brake Lamp Dropout: No) looks like with the LED tails…
Swapped out the lower grille and installed a 22” light bar in the front bumper of my ‘19 1500 Laramie Sport.
This preexisting bolt behind the washer fluid reservoir makes for a perfect relay mounting location.
For 12v power to the switch, I used a fuse tap on fuse F35 (Mod Inverter /...
Personally, I would recommend hardwiring your dash cam instead of using USB power. You can use a fuse tap in the fuse box underneath the steering wheel and run the wiring up the A-pillar/headliner. It’s very easy to do and makes for a much cleaner, reliable install. Depending on which fuse you...
If you follow these instructions, you can change the tire size through AlfaOBD and still retain the parking sensors. The calculated on-the-ground tire circumference for my LT275/65R20’s came out to 2672mm. My speedometer now reads spot on (up to the governor) with GPS, while still retaining...
I made some modifications to the Atrend 10” sealed box from my ‘13 1500 crew cab and was able to fit it in the Du-Ha on my ‘19. Not the prettiest but it works for me and I was able to recycle everything from my previous setup. The fiberglass route would be super clean though!
I prefer the rounded edges of the Husky’s vs the square look of the Weathertech’s. But I do wish the Husky’s sat flush at the top like the Weathertech’s as you mentioned. I picked up a set of Used-Like New Husky’s off Amazon for less than $34 so I can’t complain too much…
