Few updates this weekend!
Hard wired my Uniden R3. Hands down best radar detector I’ve ever used.
Got the hard wire kit that included a remote Mute button and alert LED.
Also note the new location for the JMS pedal max controller. There’s a little slit in the stearing column boot that I was...
so true! Some exhaust systems make noise, and others make SOUND. Borla makes SOUND. At idle, it's just enough for the car guys to turn their heads and smirk. At full throttle, soccer moms run and hide.
I second the bumper plugs. @Acogs91 was super easy to work with and they match perfectly! Now starts the countdown until highway patrol hassles me for them. :cautious:
I have the JMS PedalMAX and I absolutely LOVE it! made such a huge difference in throttle response. What I like the most is how quickly you can change it. quick twist of the button and you unleash all those little ponies under the hood. Can't speak to the other pedal controllers, but this one...
I've got a Borla S-Type and a JMS PedalMAX. I feel like throwing one of these on even before a full CAI may be the route I go. I did pull out carbon filter and drop in a K&N in the meantime. Good to hear that you had some solid gains.
Out with the old, in with the new!
Borla S-Type (yes I love it, yes I’ll get a sound clip, no it doesn’t drone even in MDS, yes I was able to get the stock exhaust out in 1 piece - I think those are all the usual questions).
Dropped in a k&n filter. Popped out the stupid carbon filter. But Dyno...
PLEASE post pictures when they are mounted. I'm on the fence of adding bigger tires to the 22s. I've always ran 20's with 35s and cant decide if adding 35s to these sport wheels will match what i'm looking for.
Also I would do the 3.5/2 level kit. You'll add the 2.5/1 and wish you would have...
I would send them an email! They come out with updates pretty regularly, and i'm sure they can look into your suggestions.
did you try doing a full reboot and/or a couple of power cycles (turning off truck, close doors, walk away for a few minutes, open door, close door, walk away again; try...
I've never heard of an instance where darker tint has been a big issue. There's usually other "contributing factors" if you catch my drift...have a house in Scottsdale, and I don't think i've seen many cars around that have tint that isn't at least 17% or darker haha.
I did 17% on the fronts and 35% on the rears on top of the privacy glass. Back looks darker, but all the same "tone" of black which is what I was wanting. then of course the 5% visor. I might end up doing the sunroof too to be honest...
Ceramic tint is 100% worth it. Especially if you are in a hot climate, or if your truck will be outside on a regular basis. Normal tint doesn't do a great job at actually reflecting the heat, and if you get the cheaper tint, it can even make the vehicle HOTTER! Ceramic tint actually has an...
