Yeah I was curious also. So I looked it up. Turns out I was able to get $250 because of my insurance company. Shi$$y part is my purchase had to be within 90 days. Wish I knew about that last summer when I got my truck!
Thanks! I read so many posts saying the dealers can’t actually do it and end up just buying an aftermarket device and doing it that way. Plus up charging it, so I’m just going to buy one myself and do it. From what I can tell so far it’s 2-3 mph off. I’m not in any huge rush to do it. I really...
Finished tires last night, bilstein 5100s on clip 5 in front with readylift uca, bilstein 5100 and motofab 1” spacer in rear, 275/65r20 Nitto Ridge Grapplers.
Got the tires on last night. 275/65 Niton night edition 20s. Truck looks great and drives great. Obviously a little stiffer due to lift and E load tires but still isn’t bad at all. Measurements from stock to now below, ground to fender lip:
Stock ORG
Front: 37 1/4”
Rear: 39 3/4”
Bilstein 5100s...
The bilstein shock does NOT lift the rear end. It is only a shock. You will still need either a spacer or a longer spring. I just did the 5100s front and back and used a 1” spacer to keep a bit of rake after the front level. There is a ton of info in the suspension section.
Looks great! What are your measurements from ground to fender? I have 275/65 20" Ridge grapplers going on any day now. I will be going with 285/65 at least next time.
Bilsteins installed. Front at clip 5(org max) stated as 2”, got just under that when said and done. 5100s in the back with motofab 1” coil spacer. Back on my stock tires for now. Gained just under 2” in front and 1” in the back. Have about 1 1/2” of rake now which looks great to me. Should be...
Thanks. I did do the readylift UCAs. Felt I’d rather just do them and not have to worry about ball joints going bad.
Before measurements;
Front: 37 1/4”
Rear: 39 3/4”
After measurements; less than half tank of fuel
Front: 39 1/8”
Rear: 40 3/4”
Finished 5100 front and back install. Set to clip 5 and got just under 2” up front. Installed rear bilsteins and motofab 1” coil spacer in rear. Still on stock org rubber for the next couple days until can put my 275/65 ridge grapplers on my night edition 20s. Install was pretty easy and I am...
Finished the 5100 adj shocks, readylift arms, and rear 5100 with 1” spacer. Still on stock rubber, 275/65r20 Ridge Grapplers going on stock night wheels in the next couple days. Set bilsteins at clip 5, gained just under 2” up front and 1” in the back with the motofab spacer.
I do like the looks of that console shifter but I don't think the rotary shifter is bad. I know I don't have to look at the shifter each time I move it. It only has 4 positions and you can feel the position change when shifting it. It really is no different to train your brain to know what gear...
Man I think that looks absolutely perfect. I’m putting my 5100s on this week with a 1” rear spacer on my org bighorn. I was so worried about rubbing I ended up getting 275/65r20 ridge grapplers for my stock wheels. I can def say next time I’m stepping up to the 285/65! Looks incredible!!
Damn, I wonder if I got a set of the 2.5” clamps instead of 2.25” clamps. I read a bunch of posts about that. I was using a good size 1/2” ratchet and the clamp won’t get tight enough. I can still move the pipe quite a bit. Thinking of having them welded.
Yes those are the ones. I got mine from amazon as I was already ordering other items. Pretty sure they were the same price and came right from Motofab anyways.
