Northern Iowa, Previously Colorado. Havnt put sand in the back since high school. I also now run Studded winter tires. Winter tires help the most when you actually really need it - stopping and turning. All 4wd does it help you get moving and possibly not get stuck - obviously...
15' Ram. 90K miles. Easily have 65%+ left. First 2 years lived in Denver with stupid traffic. I do use gears to slow on mountain passes. I will likely never touch the brakes in the entire time I own the truck.
Those are the super fancy electronic ones. With supply chain problems - they probably went with the normal old school dampers that are just basically weights that help with vibration.
My dealer told me they can mill them down or something if out of warranty for relatively cheap but warranty work requires a full replacement. I've had it happen on my 09" and my 15'. It's extremely common. Same with certain fords. This may be best option. Flowtech Shorty Headers (Ceramic...

I'm an agent in Iowa - it wont be totaled. What company you with?
Go get 2 estimates. Ram Dealer and Independent Body shop. I'm sure they're slammed and will be for some time. Might as well file a claim on your house roof too - you'll have damage there too.
I'm going to guess the damper went bad. Never had a tailgate not open and drop super easily - On all older non-dampened trucks i just open and let gravity slam down with force. Only thing holding it back is the damper. My wife's explorer rear hatch opening dampers went bad and you have to...
My 15's AC compressor seized up. Shredded the belt. No lights or warnings. Went another 2-3 miles and noticed my engine temps were really high and the AC quit working. Pop the hood and sure enough - no belt at all. Had maybe 15K miles on it.
You still like the 30% on the sunroof? There is very little difference in heat blocking between 50% and 30% and cant decide - this is for Llumar CTX ceramic line. I figure 50% and if i want it darker i can just close the shade. is 30% on the roof too dark?
Keep the sunroof cover pulled closed in the summer. Use a windshield cover when parked. Put down all the windows for the first 3-4 minutes to air out the 150+ degree temps when parked in the sun. Use the recirc mode. No matter the type of tint - you'e still dealing with an un-insulated single...
Supply and Demand. We know they will remove the supply side of the equation at some point. Who knows what will happen with the demand side - but i can imagine people will hang on to them like Cubans.... they wont go away in our lifetime.
I once had a detached garage reframed so the studs were reframed like a window so i could pull in and the ram emblem on my grill would touch the sheeting of the garage's exterior wall. It's doable. You can rig up lasers, balls hanging from the ceiling, etc.
4th generation insurance agent - and I own a few agencies - you're not doing yourself a favor by trying to save a couple bucks. You're borderline committing insurance fraud. You can do all kinds of tricks to save on insurance and taxes. You could set up a trust in SD and have everything owned by...
I'm on the original battery from 2015..... I feel like the quality of everything is just running down the crapper. Everything breaks down significantly prematurely. I'm thinking de-globalization will change this in the future - hopeful thinking anyway
This wont help - but 99% of the time i have it set on the hottest or coldest setting depending on the season and then just adjust the fan speed. I only use the 69-74 temp range when on really long road trips.
