If it's open, go take the walking tour of New Belgium. Take an Uber. You'll need it when you leave. If you're into mixed adult beverages, go find "Top of the Monk." It's just the upstairs portion of the "Thirsty Monk". Also Wicked Weed Brewing near Biltmore is one of the best people...
I'm pulling about the same as OP. If I was worried about fuel mileage, I wouldn't have a truck nor a camper. :) Mine seems pretty comfy pulling 6K in tow mode. The engine braking is most welcomed.
Mine was basically impossible to refuel. Ended up being a failed rollover valve in the fuel tank. Dealer replaced filler neck, fuel pump (check valve was partially blocked), and fuel tank. I can refuel with the gas nozzle full throttle now. :)
Thanks for the reference to the Bulletpoint Mounts guys. Just got mine today. Man, those things are SOLID! Was able to get an adapter from BP Mounts and the T-bolt/ball mount I needed from Ram. Done deal. Thanks again!
I had the same issue. 6 speaker base with 8.4 and ANC. Only upgraded the OEM door speakers to 3 way Alpines and disabled ANC. While it's not going to get you the ranges and quality that the premium OEM audio systems produce, the improvement in overall volume and high frequency sounds is a...
Mine did have the squeak, but I fixed it. There is a small rubber bumper appx 7mm in diameter in the front left corner that has most likely fallen off. I had a small grommet laying around and glued it in it's place. Squeak b gone.
A friend sent me this years ago.
What do we know or can we reasonably infer about nitrogen inflation?
1. According to NHTSA, nitrogen filled tires (N) lose 1.4% of their pressure per month on average compared to 1.8% for air filled tires (A). Using those values, the difference between a N...
Cool. I appreciate the info on that. I rarely let my vehicles get near 1/4 plus it disables the remote start. And man we need it here this time of year. The humidity is so thick that you can grill it.
Question for those of us that fill up around the 1/4 tank mark: If at 1/4 tank just when the low fuel light comes on, how many gallons are you able to add? Primarily interested in those with 26 gallon fuel tanks. I can't seem to get past 17-18 gallons, and that's with a brand new fuel pump...
If I'm in 2wd, I also have to hold the 4wd auto button down for 1-2 seconds as well as going to 4hi from 2wd. I did have some flashes done and unsure on what software revision I'm on. I can get that info if needed.
I did a soft hookup to the camper tonight. Yeah, there will be zero problems seeing what's behind me with these. The convex will be my new friends on the road.
Boost Auto Parts 5th gen plug and play tow mirrors. Complete with powerfold, puddle lighting, heated upper glass, and outside ambient air temp sensor. If your vehicle does not have powerfold, additional parts are needed. Mine did have PF options so these were completely plug and play. Money...
I'll grab some photos tomorrow. Already getting dark here. So far, I'm impressed with them. They're beefy right out of the box. The factory mirrors just felt cheap. Driving around in "normal" mode, there is zero vibration just like factory. The glass is super clear as well. I have not...
I didn't take any install photos. Boost has an installation video on their website if you would like for me to link you to that. The only photos I can provide are post install.
Just installed a set on my 1500 as well. Had to get chrome since black is backordered. No complaints at all as these are quite a bit more robust vs the factory. The power fold motors are much stronger than factory as well. Zero fitment issues. Also did not install the reinforcement brackets.
