I also have the base 6 speaker system but so far no CDs have displayed any info. I can force it by burning a copy, and the SW will add all the data, but it should work via Gracenote.
Ok, that makes sense, I do see a black plastic liners that only covers about the bottom half, I was hoping for the full wheel well.
Are the full liners called the "Splash Guard" ones? I will put those in someday soon, better protection and it looks better as well.
So I pulled up my Build Sheet using my VIN and it lists "MOPAR Rear Wheel Well Liners" and "front Wheel Well Liners" but I sure don't see anything besides the spats....worth going to dealer to complain?
Metra 72-7902.
I had the base 6 speaker package, in another thread several people upgraded from the Alpine to Kicker and were happy, from the HK more seemed to like the 3 1/2“ Infinity REF3032.
Why remove it? Just curious, I read a few threads and it seems that removing it does not make much difference. I am good either way, just hoping to understand the reasoning.
Direct fit with the metra wiring harness, you cannot get the polarity wrong as the wires only fit one way. Pop the cover, use a 7mm socket to remove two screws, replace-tighten-push the cover back on. 15min per speaker tops. It is a tight fit if you have big hands, otherwise a simple job.
Switched out base dash speakers with a pr of CSC35 Kickers, sound is much improved! Put in a K&N filter. Tomorrow I install my Ionic 5” chrome and black nerf bars.
Thank you for letting us know about this rebate!
I received my approval email today, so now the wait for the check starts - since I have already spent it on some Ionic 5" stainless nerf bars.
I loved the Genesis and highly recommend it if you are after a luxury sport sedan and like saving money. Each day I drive my truck I miss it a little less though, ideally I would own one of each.
:)
I am a happy new owner of a 2019 Ram 1500 Bighorn I picked up Saturday.
Prior to this truck I was driving a new 2019 Genesis G80 Sport - a fantastic luxury sport sedan with every bell and whistle and a 3.3L Twin Turbo V-6 under the hood. Thanks to an inattentive driver it is now at the junk yard...
