I hear ya. I always ask for no car washes at the dealer. Maybe I’m a little ocd but I take pride in what I drive and I expect others that do work on it (warranty work / repairing something) are the same as me but I know that’s not the case most of the time. Some people just have that “it’s good...
I got my truck back after a few days at the body shop. It’s not 100% perfect. I’d say it’s about 98%. If I’m being critical, their is still a small dent / crease (which they weren’t sure they could get out). What also looks to be little dust particles under the paint and a couple of tiny thin...
Also, u want to make sure they don’t destroy ur door jambs and plastic trim pieces like the dealer did to mine. I was told it’s gonna cost about $380 to just re-paint the area. Not including the plastic trim pieces that I want replaced too.
I haven’t figured it out. Still does it often. I didn’t even bother mentioning it to the dealer. I did notice last week when it was doing it, I switched to regular radio and the signal switched immediately. It must be the satellite radio taking forever to receive a signal.
I’d say na. But it really just depends on how you’ll use it. I’ve never been a fan of them and they just scream old man. But they do have their purpose for some people tho. Just my opinion.
I only drive about 4,500 miles a year now. My commute used to be about 13k a year and I would do a 15k mile lease but since switching jobs about 6 years ago it’s greatly reduced. So 10k a year is plenty and I don’t travel really.
Just an update...
I showed my truck to the general manager and new car manager about the damage after my window replacement. They were very apologetic about the situation. They were in agreement about repainting it if that’s what I wanted. But did mention I shouldn’t be charged at lease end...
Thanks. I’m not sure if it resolved my issue. I’m hoping it did. They said not to wash the truck for three days and it hasn’t rained either. I’m planning on washing it Saturday.
I will. I’m heading there tomorrow after work unannounced so someone’s not “gone for the day / he just left” when I get there. I take exceptionally good care of my vehicles and when I saw that I was like WTF! are u serious!! I had a feeling something like this was gonna happen.
I got my truck back today from the dealership for the window replacement and I’m furious!! I didn’t notice this until I got home but someone destroyed the door jamb paint. They gouged the sh!t out of it, dented it and scratched / gouged the plastic trim too. I’m calling them tomorrow about this...
I’m not sure what the rebates were because I didn’t get a breakdown of everything. I did use a Friends and Family discount from my friend at FCA and this was my 4th purchase at this dealership over the years, so that may have helped.
Before that deal the numbers were looking like $430-$450 per...
My 2020 Big Horn Crew Cab 4x4 with the Night Edition package, Premium Lighting / Level 2 Equipment Group and the non etorque Hemi. Msrp at $51,850
In November 2019 I leased it for $405 per month for 36 months with zero out of pocket and the dealer made my first payment. Mileage is 10k miles...
No they aren’t. I replaced the 3rd brake light seal with a fresh piece of the auto marine stuff I put on in May. And when it rains, I slightly wedge a microfiber towel between the plastic trim piece and headliner.
