This was what i expected during my test drive. I was so concerned about getting another one with issues I was listening and inspecting for every little thing. Obviously I failed to ensure the water integrity.
I was talking to the service director today and we were joking about my luck and he asked if I was born on Friday the 13th or something and I was like as a matter of fact I was. I didn’t even think about that. Lol
Hard to say if it was dropped or tossed around in shipping or even during the packing process. Box looked fine with no visible damage. Either way, more cushion in the packaging would help.
Mine is supposed to be here Monday from BAM. I found if I ordered the part without the AB at the end of the part number the shipping was 20 instead of the 180 It was showing if I had ordered the part number with AB at the end of the part number. I ended up paying $700.94 total.
It took about 3-4 days of actual work. I was lucky and it didn’t need much paint correction so instead he spent that time coating extra stuff like the wheel well liners and interior painted pieces that are on wranglers.
Funny you should say that. I had it scheduled for a ceramic coat to help with the black paint. But I guess now that is off and I have to go back to the same mindset with my previous one where I’m not spending a penny on it till I’m sure I am problem free. My Ram Airflow is supposed to be here...
I looked at that when I ordered mine and that is the only difference I could find. Not 100% but I am pretty sure the level 1 price is reduced if ordered with the black appearance package but it doesn’t reflect on the website.
So I finally got my new 2020 Limited with black appearance package as a replacement for my 2019 buyback and of course after the first week the drivers side carpet is soaked from a water leak. Not happy to say the least. What the frick RAM? @RamCares
Also, I had written it off as just my luck...
Make sure you have submitted a written request demanding replacement or refund under lemon law. You should have received a booklet that contains a removable and mailable card to do so in everything that came in your owners manual. If your state requires arbitration go ahead and request it now as...
That’s the reason I bought the first one so it was good timing they had just released the limited version when it was time to order the new one. I was tempted to go a different color since black is so hard to maintain but couldn’t pass up the limited with sport hood.
I turnover my truck tomorrow and get my replacement through the lemon law tomorrow with this as one of the many issues I had. I am really nervous since this issue has never been fully resolved and I am really hoping my replacement is problem free without a vibration.
@RamCares can you confirm if the Limited with the black appearance package is supposed to have the black side molding as advertised on the ramtrucks website?
