Regardless of the stickers, you likely won’t pass inspection with windshield tint, depending on your state. Some of us live in states where there is either no inspection, or only an inspection at purchase. If you live in a yearly inspection state, it’s likely you won’t pass with windshield tint.
Got mine tinted @ 50% with 3M ceramic and I can actually see the hud better. It looked blurry for the first few days while the glue cured, but looks fantastic now. You can have your tint shop cut a small piece so you can hold it up to your windshield to be 100% sure the hud will display fine for...
Thanks, I will try that. It's just strange that it doesn't stay on the previous setting when you turn the truck off and go back to using it again. I could see if it reverted to a different setting if you used a different fob, but this one is a head scratcher of why it would be designed this way.
Hi All, when I select the "custom" settings and set which items I want the HUD to display and then click "save", the HUD will accept the changes and display what I want it to. However, the problem is that when I turn the truck off and back on later, the HUD will revert to the default view...
Haha well there’s this other guy on this thread all proud that he figured out the truck self-calibrates and was telling everyone to save their money 😂. He has “proof” (Waze) and his truck is so smart it self calibrated on the first drive 😂😂.
Thanks! Any chance you can DM me the service ticket/receipt? Of course crossing out your personal info and VIN. My dealer just says they can only pick 33” so I’m trying to determine if they’re just not aware, or plain ignorant. If you have your receipt perhaps that can help them figure it out.
Would you mind sharing info on how you did this? Or is there a link or video you can link to that will help? Not familiar with what exactly I would need to buy either. Thanks!
Hey there, my new tires are the same exact size. On the truck, they don't measure 33" due to the weight and such. They are more like 32", but the dealer says the lowest setting they have is 33", so I'm worried that will result in my speedo being wrong the opposite way that it is now. Do you know...
Oh wow, I just posted that this is my theory, and now reading your post my suspicions are confirmed. A lot of people on here are thinking their truck auto-calibrated because they are using Waze on Carplay to verify their speed matches the truck's speedometer. Looks like a lot of guys got fooled...
I went up in tire size as well and noticed that Waze is also dead on with the truck's speedometer. However, I downloaded other GPS speedometer apps and also used my radar detector that has GPS and no other sources corroborate with Waze. I am thinking if perhaps Waze is somehow actually using the...
