Not to keep posting pictures of my truck with 18's (even though I really like it), but here is an Off Road Group with 18x9' -12 wheels and 35/12.50 tires. Caliper clearance is close but good. FCA also sells some aftermarket 18 inch wheels.
I have Nitto Ridge Grapplers in 35/12.50-18. I had 37 PSI in them and they rode good. I took them down to 35 to try them out. They seem to ride just a little softer and the tread wear using the chalk mark method noted below seems to be right on.
I read an article several years ago in 4 Wheel...
Good to hear your trucks are being built quicker now. I ordered mine the end of August and the dealer told me to plan for 90 days, that way I wouldn't be disappointed if it didn't come earlier. He was pretty much on the money. Mine took nearly a full three months.
By the way, I think...
My tires are 35-12.50-18's. I think you will see a slight loss in mileage, but remember to add in the difference in mileage when calculating fuel economy. For example, until I reset the computer for the larger tires, my speedometer is about 8 percent off. When I fill I take my mileage times...
Did you put the full 3.5 inch kit on in addition to the Off Road package? Yours looks higher than mine, but I was told to only go 2.5 in the front with the Off Road package.
Your truck looks great. I came real close to getting the same color you have.
My thoughts are in line with geotex1. Get what you want and paid for. The waiting can be bad, but worth it in the end.
I would definitely expect some compensation for the error from FCA. It is not the dealers fault.
I know a while back there was some discussion regarding LED headlights versus halogen headlights. I know we all have our preferences, but I wondered if there was any objective testing. A Google search resulted in finding IIHS safety testing of the new 2019 Ram. They test the vehicles in...
Very nice. I like 4wd vehicles lifted and the others lowered.
Yours has just the right amount of space above the tires, and they fill the wheel well nicely.
With the Off Road group you also get the electric locking differential. When I ordered my truck, I wanted the electric locker. For a couple hundred more I could get the Off Road package which comes with the skid plates, tow hooks, and one inch additional lift with off road shocks. For me...
I like it. I like the black wheels with the silver accents.
There are just too many wheel options. It is hard to choose. I remember looking for wheels for my Jeeps in the 70's and the choices were: white spoke, aluminum slot, aluminum modular, or chrome steel modular. Hmmmm. Didn't have...
Mine does the same sometimes. It is going to measure the temperature inside your truck and adjust accordingly. The outside temperature does not matter. It is the cabin temperature. For example, if it is sunny outside, it can heat the inside to an uncomfortable level even if it is cold out...
I just did the 2.5 Motofab spacer and Readylift upper control arms. You can find my post elsewhere in the forum. Everything worked great. I think it came out perfect. The truck still has a slight forward rake.
Bighorn with Off Road package. I added Readylift UCR's and Motofab 2.5 in the front. Tires are 35-12.50-18 Nitto Ridge Grapplers. Fits under a seven foot door by a couple of inches.
As for mileage, it isn't great. Mostly interstate at 70 mph and some two lane road trips to town and back...
