I'm in the same boat. I drove a loaded 8.4" uconnect crew rebel with etorque and the air suspension. I really liked it, but after driving it, I joined here to check out real world mpg with the etorque vs regular hemi. I wasn't impressed with what I saw. You'll need to determine is if you'll...
I read the iihs article and then I read about people's thoughts on the LED headlamps here on the forum. I then dismissed what the iihs report said.
Then last night, on my way home, a new ram, big horn or Laramie, as it wasn't a rebel, and not a longhorn or LTD, pulled out on the highway...
I believe the etorque hemi can't be had with the larger gas tank. Since the etorque doesn't add freeway mpg, I think that's an oversight. Now maybe there's some physical reason, like the vibration cancelling weights getting on the way of the bigger tank?
If I were to get a ram, i'd more than likely get a Laramie sport off-road package. I test drove a rebel and liked it, but I don't want the 3.92 gears for freeway mileage. 3.21 gears, monochromatic, with sport hood, and off road package. I liked the North edition until I found out that you have...
That's unfortunate. The rebel I drive had it, and that's something I want and am willing to pay for. I was hoping that it was part of the north edition that you can get on the bighorn, but not on the Laramie. I went onto the online configurator and confirmed that as well. So I'll need to look...
Well, go back to your quote where you mentioned that if the other poster would have had 3.92 gears, that he wouldn't be going out of 8th gear in the situations he was describing. Then go back and look at that posters sig line and you'd see he in fact dues have the 3.92 gears. That's where I...
Buried in the text was the reality that FCA ( not just ram over f series) only had more sales if you exclude fleet sales. However, fleet sales are included so this article is not really true.
I know you've already apologized for this part, but it's totally true that ram should have been a bit more honest in the real expected mpg from the rebel, or any of the 3.92 geared Rams. How they are able to use the epa figures from some totally differently equipped ram that got 22 mpg in...
No I've not owned any ram. But that fact has nothing to do with what I've pointed out.
I was just reading what you wrote, after not reading what the guy that you quoted, wrote. Lol
Getting back to the point of this thread, I have no reason to believe what others that own a 3.21 geared new ram...
I just re read your post about his truck, and I still see it that his 3.92 equipped truck is downshifting as you suggested it shouldn't be.
I'll let it go;)
What are you getting but for mpg, after the econ mode is kicking in.?
I read that the MDS is not activated until it had some miles on it. I know others on here have said that it should be active right away, but I believe it was on motor trend or other reputable motor journalist where I saw/...
Is that the case, or do the gear ratios in the transmission stay the same regardless of the axle ratio? If they did alter the transmission depending on the axles, that would make up the difference between 8 and 10 speeds that the competition has.
Yeah, those are the same guys. My Audi has air suspension. I won't buy another vehicle with it. My Audi's been reliable too, but those air bags are just rubber, and you know what happens with that eventually.
I know of many 2018 5.0 powered front leveled and bigger tired supercrews getting...
Yeah, the mpg is not what I was expecting. Hearing 4th gen Rams with the 5.7 getting 22 mpg with regularity was common. A coil sprung etorque hemi rebel crew was what I was looking for after testing an air sprung etorque hemi crew in September. I can't believe that the epa allows ram to use...
