Mine are good. Only had the truck for a month and put ~2k miles on it but I have driven a lot of highway miles and no issue. Dont like the Goodyears because of the grip so I will be looking for something better once they wear down.
Good feedback. Think I am going to really weight the pros and cons of the roll UP type (like Bak Revolver or TruXedo Sentry) vs the roll UNDER like the Retrax. Of course, that $300-400 difference is something I have to really justify.

I am only moderately clued in on how electronics work. Not enough to take apart my perfectly working steps. Main thing to determine is the controller and the motor type. Certain motors have to have their voltage increased to make it go faster.
Any rattles when in motion? I had a Retrax on my 07 F150 and I could always hear it, especially with the sunroof open and back window open (my preferred way to travel).
I second this question. Takes too long to deploy. I bet this would require cracking open the controller (if it has one) or installing a faster motor. In a basic Google search, seems like some aftermarket ones deploy faster.
