This. I discovered this a while back myself. I hate the look of shiny tires, except on a show car. If any sheen at all, just something very matte. I prefer to just clean the rubber fully and keep it natural.
I have also been spraying my engine bay for years. That said, we're talking newer cars where most of the electronics are pretty well protected. I wouldn't do that on an older car. Also, I should say, I don't blast with a pressure washer, we're talking a garden hose at most and I do my best to...
I've been using invisible glass for years! I use that stuff for everything too! It is a fantastic cleaner for pretty much any surface. Leaves no residue or smudges. I always keep a can in each vehicle and several at the house/garage.
Just ran up some canyons close to where I live. Played with the 4wd, got into low range for the first time and played with the hill descent control. Fun stuff.
My eTorque crew cab has the 26 gallon tank as well. It can be optioned. Also, I am among the group who are usually annoyed by the stop/start systems. But this one is actually quite good so I just leave it on. I believe it turns off automatically in tow/haul mode.
You bring up a lot of viable points I hadn't necessarily considered. I've heard of issues with losing your camp site because there isn't enough stuff there and some ******* thinks they can move it while you're gone for a few hours. I like the trailer idea and had always considered it before...
I think more than just myself would be interested in seeing that kind of information. I'm exactly there myself, overlanding without having the daily driver overlander. The trailer seems like the best option for my lifestyle. That or a removable rack system that will work with my tonneau...
Fun stuff. This is exactly why I bought this truck after owning mostly cars for the last 25 years. Exploration and escape from the grind. I'm trying to outfit this truck to be something that I can have a basic "overlanding" type setup that is 99% removable. I hate the idea of permanently...
Looks good. I'm thinking I will do a hidden winch in that particular area though. I haven't explored alternate lighting options in the upper grille area.
I have a wireless charging phone holder that mounts to the A/C vent and found out the hard way I needed to start the truck before I got my phone on there and the wireless charging activated. It's only happened once though. Placing the key right by the start button worked to get it going again.
Oh, ok. I like it though, seems like a great lift for someone who wants something that is basically factory and should maintain reliability. Most likely the direction I go, unless something better comes out between now and then. Might take a year or two to save up enough for that upgrade. lol
I usually go by what the manual says. This one says do it when the truck tells you to or no longer than 10k miles. idk about 10k miles, but in the past I have sent oil samples out to Blackstone Labs every 3rd or so oil change to keep tabs on what's going on in my engine. 99% of the time they...
