Had the same suspicious Yesterday. When I am driving at night, I see no differences between all 3. Wouldn't say it's bad, quite comfortable, unless someone right behind me with very bright headlights. I do not like very much idea with the tape, will try attached solution.
I have covered the mirror sensor by finger and clearly noted cabin and driver side mirrors dimming. It's very clear, both became very dark, no any reaction on passenger side.
I have both my mirror with dimming, but I tried to switch dimming off, just to make sure it's working. I fill no any difference between on/off. I have a filling that they are always dimmed at night. Any other way to check this function?
Only blind spot part of the mirror glass is really heated, this part is defrosted very quick, for the remaining glass it's takes much longer. I have a filling, that's on my '14 RaM defrosting was much quicker, but I may be wrong.
That's the reason why "Park sensing braking system" was developed. We are back to the subject of this thread. Human errors are very common, people do mistakes. Sometimes they simply can't see. I am very happy to have all these safety features on my truck, that's was the main reason to switch...
It's so easy to use search function in this forum or thread. We have replied on all the questions, but the same question are coming over and over again. We run to 50 pages thread already.
Seems to be Ok, check one more time, if You have any faults. Otherwise disconnect the battery for 15 min.
