A couple reasons. Seeing Jeffjads ball joint angles was one. Also thinking the kit was intended for the stock springs, so didn’t want to mess with the ride quality too much. And lastly I tow a pretty big boat and needed some rake.
Installed the Mopar kit + 1/2” top hat spacer this past weekend. Riding on stock 22” wheels/tires it feels like it soaks up the bumps on my county road better than stock. Getting alignment and my new wheels/tires mounted right now, so it’ll probably ride a little different.
Finished up the install today. Ended up taking the struts to a shop to have them do that nightmare, tried but got sketched out compressing the spring. Alignment and new wheels/tires going on Monday.
Ended up skipping the ORP springs and instead installing a 1/2 inch top hat spacer...
When I first heard it it reminded me of a swoosh, but after having my wife jump around in the bed I’ve pin pointed it to the bushings. It’s by no means a loud squeak, I haven’t drive the truck yet as it looks ridiculous with only the rear lifted. I’ll re evaluate tomorrow after getting the font...
Had some time today and started installing the Mopar lift. Got the rear done, plan to do the front tomorrow.
Quick question, the rear bushing on the fox shocks are squeaking when I bounce on the bumper, any thoughts before I take the liners back out and trouble shoot?
I’m thinking I need to...
I was wondering this just the other day when looking at aftermarket control arms, and if there is much difference between them. Now off to eBay to look for some 4th gen lifted control arms lol
If I can get my brother to let me in his bay at the dealership I’d have it installed already lol. Was hoping it would be this Saturday, but looks more likely next weekend. I’ll post ball joint angles once the loft and orp springs are installed.
If I had to guess, it’ll rub. These are those same tires, not even fully mounted to the rims, sitting next to the truck. You may get away with it if your truck has the ORP.
My rear window was cracked, and only leaked through the crack. As far as I can tell my 3rd brake light isn’t leaking. I’ve never had water spots in the headliner either.
Was thinking of adding the RC ones to the parts box for when I install the Mopar lift and ORP springs next weekend. Is there a reason your adding them?
Have run the truck through the touchless car wash 3x this week (yeah, I’m bored lol) and no leaks. Hopefully it holds up and doesn’t crack. FWIW my brother has had his 18 Laramie for a year and his hasn’t cracked.
