I had the page open on my browser for a few days, and saw it said 1 left so I ordered, but ya you must have squeezed in before that could get updated :-)
I placed an order about 2.5 weeks ago and right when they ran out of the last batch. Emailed a few days ago and Marcus said they had just received them in again and were shipping them out as fast as they could.
The mopar 2in lift kit uses a spacer for the rear and includes a track bar relocation bracket, do you think this would be a worthwhile add on? Included page from the install sheet.
As for sway bar a lot of people like the hellwig for lifted rear which has longer links with it. I had the stock...
It looks like the 5th gen bracket on the driver side is taller. On ORP springs I'm getting 6.25 inches from the top of the sway bar to the bottom of the panhard bar, as measured closest to the driver side panhard bracket.
Attaching my heights in a similar format as yours, all measurements with same 33in tires fyi.
With my weight in the back and your report I'll go with the Clayton's as well to get to ~2in above non ORP, I'd really like more than 0.5in of rake as I load up the bed with gear and not worrying...
Thank you both, these threads have been really helpful, I'm trying to follow along on this journey..
For reference I have an ORP truck (1in higher than non orp/same height as stock rebel) and my fox 2.5 rears have 5.125in of shaft as measured from #2 shown above(or did you truly measure only...
I have the ICON UCA's arriving today as the BDS (a little cheaper) were on back order, really excited to put this together.
Have you received the springs yet to compare against stock?
Different people like the feel of different temperature air, so it will be 100% subjective and in my opinion it will depend on how you use/store the truck. I've had two 5th gens and live in Texas and they cooled good enough because 1) I had ceramic tint all around (even windshield) 2) don't have...
Thank you RamCares, are you able to elaborate on what campaign can/could mean? Asking because I am not in the automotive industry and have only heard it used in marketing terms and I'm sure that is not what is intended in this case.
I used a heat gun, slightly warmed up the area then used 12lb test fishing line to cut between the emblem and the double sided foam tape, it goes very quickly.
Then I was left with the sticky foam on the paint which I warmed up again and rubbed it off/rolled it onto itself if that makes sense...
I have a bright white that had pinstripes and the off road stickers, took them off on the 2nd day and the emblems right after. I like how easy it is to wipe down.
I like the look of the 4x4 off road sticker but one of mine was put on very crooked at the factory so that's what initially prompted...
The BDS 6in lift says 37s work. The 4in lifts I have seen look to be 35's max (officially).
I'd love to see some trucks with the Fiberwerx flared fenders, which also list a 37in tire size for that TRX look:
https://www.fiberwerx.com/products/2019-2020-dodge-ram-fenders
I installed mine today and it looks exactly like yours. I trimmed a bit of the plastic on the passenger side bed cap and both brackets covered the washer of that fourth bolt. Maybe someday I'll take them off and atleast step drill the hole so the bracket can sit flush.
I have 275/60R20 Michelin Defender ltx ms on stock 20in wheels and they are fantastic. I stayed one size under LT to keep the weight and harshness down.
I wanted to say thank you, as I have come across several of your posts and they are very informative. I have been bouncing between King and Fox myself and I think this sealed the deal for me.
Really looking forward to your rear spring journey, as I have an ORP truck so have the same issue as...
It may be helpful to add how high your current setup is at the shark fin (as there seems to be a little variation truck to truck), and how much lower than the 6'8" you would want to be.
Just in case, for example you only have 2 inches to play with between current height and max height you want...
Love this look, great job.
I'm curious why you chose to not use the fox rears and 2in puck, did you do that to get leveled?
Is this right.. Tires aside with your kit you are +2in front (+3 over non orp) and +1in rear (+2in over non orp) from the puck?
On my 2020 June build Laramie CC 5ft bed with the ORP, BUG, 33 gallon tank and level 1 on the build sheet it does state "Raised ride height".
Oh and it also states:
Spring - Left Front
Spring - Left Rear
Spring - Right Front
Spring - Right Rear
I have searched and see many threads about hard tonneau covers and the mft brace interference but I haven't found a thread about camper shells.
Specifically this is about mft but no ram boxes fyi.
To me it seems with the clamps on the camper shells I have seen there would not be a problem...
