I just ordered one for the top and the bottom... looking forward to getting them. I quit placing anything in the top section because every time I opened it to get to the bottom, the items in the top would fly around in the top section. Hopefully this will resolve it and allow me to make better...
Then... just for kicks... I found a pair of JL Audio CS2-350x speakers I forgot I had, from a system a couple of years ago that I did in a vehicle. I measured one of those against the FaitalPRO. If you plan on using these, you'll want external power to make them sound their best. The vocals...
Did some more comparisons.
Got the CDT speakers in. Installed them in the front. Long story short... not any difference to note in the response or volume level at the same setting, but they will no doubt handle louder volumes with less distortion. Worth it if you crank it up a good bit...
I was not able to fun my factory sub with the aftermarket sub in my 2019... there were issues with the ANC. I was running a PAC from the headunit to the back to power my aftermarket sub, but had to disconnect the factory sub.
Sounds like they may have the boomy bass fixed in your truck... perhaps over-compensated for it in some way. Several of us have done various things to our trucks, treatments, speaker swaps, etc, to get better sound. I'm liking mine right now, although it won't win any SQ competitions.
I know we learn a lot of the bad about various things in a forum, as a lot of people like to try to get help on a forum, so we read of a lot of issues. However, in this case, this thread might be more of a realistic implication that there is a very high percentage of owners that do not renew...
If you are willing to give up what your factory sub does for you with the ANC, then you can use an LoC-22 from JL Audio (or something similar) and tap into one of the sub speaker level outputs (or run a PAC from the headunit to the back) and add an amp and sub. There are a lot of options for...
Nothing wrong with that at all. I think some of us are more picky about how we hear music. After hearing a properly setup system, we start chasing that sound in every vehicle, and we are harder to satisfy.
Yep... I have the HK system.
I've heard good things about the 2" CDT speakers. I've actually had the 6x9 speakers in two previous trucks, although they had external power, not a factory amp pushing them. I think break-in change is more subtle if anything to my ears, as I never notice it...
I plan to actually compare them... one in the left front door with one in the right front door, faded to the front, and moving the balance from left to right to see if in fact I can hear a noticeable difference in bass and mid-bass output... plus I'll also play a couple of songs with extreme...
lol... it's looking pretty bleak, that is for sure. We normally keep 1200-1500 firearms in stock... less than 300 right now. Over 2000 on order. It's crazy, that is for sure. And from what I'm hearing, we are probably going to have less law enforcement and more lawlessness, and self law...
I'm not sure what you mean by "Returned to stock?" This unit is not left connected, once you set flash your new tire size to the vehicle, you are done, unplug it and sell it again if you wish. It fixed my speedometer being off a couple of MPH, which has been verified using my GPS speedometer...
Installed the rear headliner FaitalPRO speakers today, while waiting on my windshield to cool to treat it with Optimum Opti-Glass Coating.
I really would like to wire them for rear fill, but I'm afraid I might damage the amp since I would be attempting to bridge those amp channels...
Amp...
Yeah... I'll live with it for now. I am averaging between 20-21 mpg fairly regularly, so it's not too bad. I suppose if I ever do need to tow or get into the gas, I'll have the right gear to do it.
