You are right about the MTI boxes, I'm not sure they can make one with 10's that won't stick out as far. My previous MTI box with a pair of 10's was as shallow as they claimed they could get it. Not sure why they can't duplicate JL's box (or something similar) so that it doesn't stick out as...
It also shouldn't be all that difficult to remove the carpet on the box and replace it with the matching color... you could probably find a color that would match closer anyway.
I have ordered the PAC AmpPRO R.2, optical input module and an optical cable from Crutchfield that will arrive on...
I'm right there with you... the 23 gallon tank seriously caught me by surprise as well. I was just assuming it was a 26 gallon until I filled up and realized something was up. I know 3 gallons isn't a lot, but the 26 is already small enough on a truck. I'm use to the larger tanks and now wish...
To clarify... if you got the PAC with the adjustable EQ settings (parametric EQ), then I believe you should have R.2, not gen 1. I've had gen 1 and it did not have the PEQ adjustments. Gen 1 has now been discontinued in favor of R.2.
I am glad to read you are not having any issue with the ANC...
I STAND CORRECTED!!! At least I think I do. I stated that I did not think the subwoofer in the HK system with e-Torque is used for ANC due to what others had said about not having any issues tapping into the subwoofer speaker leads to feed their aftermarket sub amp. I now believe it may be...
I'm seeing 369 for this one... https://www.mymoparpart.com/p/94826255/68408875AD.html
However, probably better to find it at a salvage yard so that the fuel pump is included, and probably most of the parts needed as well.
I'm going to leave the rear doors connected and just fade to front, which will allow the ANC to continue to work thru the rear speakers. What I may have to do for rear fill is get a separate small amp for the rear headliner speakers. However, I do want to test disconnecting the upper door...
Glad you can understand it... as I sometimes have a hard time saying what I mean... lol.
I used adapters for all the speakers, except the subwoofer, which I had to cut because I could not find an adapter for it. But all I did was add the aftermarket subwoofer (JL Stealthbox) with an LoC-22 and...
In my opinion the upper door speakers just really aren't needed. I had mine covered up with 1/2" closed cell foam for a while (did not realize it when I treated my doors initially). After I realized it and uncovered them, I then realized it sounded better without them. It confuses the imaging...
Here are my thoughts... https://5thgenrams.com/community/threads/2020-ram-laramie-4wd-audio-system-build-w-12-display-and-jl-audio-stealthbox.21527/
If you go fully aftermarket you will lose your ANC. I did this in my 2019 and regretted it. Tried the ANC bypass adapter in my 2020, and I ain't...
I ordered from them on 6/26 showing in stock, but apparently they were not... and they have not responded to two emails about the order. Gonna cancel and order from someone else. I can't handle poor customer service. They should have immediately let me know they were not in stock instead of...
Yep... use something like the JL Audio LoC-22 ... or some amps have speaker level inputs as well. EDIT: NO... don't use this ... see notes farther down.
No... I left the ANC connected on the amp so that the rear speakers would continue to work with ANC, although I had everything faded up front most of the time. The factory sub was disconnected, so that prevented the ANC in the sub from working, which was mostly exhaust. It wasn't bad, but I...
I don't think replacing the sub driver itself in the same enclosure would help much, but a separate sub and amp should be offer improvement if setup correctly.
I believe it is worth noting that during my 25 minute drive to the shop this morning, I was playing some of my favorite Yello tracks, which have some interesting bass good for testing a car system. I am fairly certain I notice the CDT exhibit no stress at louder volumes, whereas the factory...
PAC AmpPRO 4 (AP4-CH41 with APA-TOS1)
Best I can remember, it only came with one harness that inserts in between the factory connection. The other connector goes to the PAC unit..
You can take a look at my thread for some info, testing, and speaker comparisons.
