How do you know its not ready? I don't have any emissions testing where I live thankfully but I'm not sure how one would know if its ready or not? I did 108k miles before my truck ever gave me the message to keep driving to clean the DPF. Now at 124k miles I get that message about once a month...
Who has done the fox 2.0 coilovers and what were your thoughts? Any other parts needed to complete the install if I want to do 1.5-2” of lift? My front right shock is starting to go i think so I’m starting the hunt for possible upgrades. I dont tow much, minimal off roading but would like a...
Loaded up the truck for a family road trip to the U.P and before we wrapped it up the northern lights rolled through. Good start! Truck is there but hard to see. Phone makes it out brighter than it was but it was still great
There will be one less in my garage soon.....x3m is now for sale. If anyone has interest let me know. No official listing yet. Need to clean it up and take some pictures. 43k miles, no mods, BMW warranty till November 2025 unlimited miles. Should have the title in 2-3 weeks.
I’m genuinely impressed with this trip so far. Best mileage I’ve ever seen. I’m in a pretty loaded Laramie, 4x4, 3.92 and some chunky all terrains. Find me a new truck that could do this, replacing this truck will be hard when that day comes.
I've seen the message a total of 3 times now and all within the last month. I'm at ~110k miles and recently pulled a trailer ~6k lbs. I drive on the highway all the time and thought pulling that trailer would clear its throat but still got a message the other day.
I did read something similar on another forum as well I just found it interesting and I’ve done 108k miles without seeing it ever. Now twice in a week. I have idled a bit more in the last few weeks but not by much. No CEL and everything seems good I just found that strange.
Curious who else sees this, how often and if anybody knows why? I’ve done 108k miles and have never seen it. Now I’ve seen it twice in one last 600 miles. Fuel pump was replaced at 99k. Only thing I’ve done different was switch to castrol 5w40 oil changes every my 5k miles, doc diesel oil filter...
I've been pretty fortunate with my ownership experience so far especially with oil change costs. Early on a few years back Walmart had a deal on Quakerstate ($10 jug) and I bought enough to get me to 90k miles. So my oil changes only cost me $60-70 with the crazy filter cost. Now I run Docs...
I feel the same way. I'm glad i committed and ordered when I did. I'm out of warranty now but with just over 100k and a brand new fuel system installed, 0% interest with a few months left before its paid for I also see myself pushing this truck as far as it can go. Trans service and belt...
I did it just to have a nicer documented service record since I did my own oil changes. I've since moved away from sending it out as all it did was cause concern when there really wasn't anything wrong. And they raised prices. I'm at 100k now and no real issues apart form recalled fuel pump...
Got my truck back and it definitely feels much better compared to when I dropped it off. They replaced the fuel pump and the entire fuel system (injectors, rails and all). They weren’t originally going to do that as the truck came in running so they’re only authorized to replace the pump. As I...
BMW service is top notch. The key is $$ lol. We were fortunate enough to be offered an additional 40k mile maintenance plan on our x3m comp for $900 (1.5yr or 75k) The deal was too good to be true but so far it’s awesome. Top notch rentals and it’s nice to know the car is getting what I needs...
More updates. Fuel pump was replaced but the CEL is still on. They are doing more diagnostics tomorrow but mentioned if they don’t solve it tomorrow then they will need to work with the Chrysler “star” engineers to see what they will replace next. (Could take weeks)
They looked more into the oil...
So far I’m not too thrilled with the dealer but we will see what happens once they replace the fuel pump. Currently they told me the oil is from a spill from an oil change. I’ve always changed it and though I’ve had some small spills they were cleaned up. The oil I pointed out is on the opposite...
I appreciate this! Mine defiantly seems a bit worse also have 30k more miles. At this point I’ll wait to see what the dealer says. To me it seems like a there’s been a slow leak for a long time, it may not be the issue Cushing my code but still something. I’ll share what the dealer says once I...
So the code has come and gone but now it’s here to stay and the truck is down on power. Took the top cover off and it seems a bit concerning. Oil around the top and seemed to be leaking from pipe going to the intercooler from the turbo. Failing turbo? I rolled 99k today and it’s going to the...
I just filled up from my typical station. Once I burn through this thank I’ll give it a try! That code seems like a real pain to troubleshoot. I have access to a mactco Maximus 3.0 scan tool but requires an account to get through the safe gateway module. It’s only $50 for the year so I may give...
I’ve been waiting since November on parts. Supposedly im 3-4weeks out from getting mine done. I’m approaching 100k miles and now getting a P026C code off and on. I just hope the 3-4 week estimate is accurate Becuase I’m hoping to take a few road trips in 6 weeks.
I'm at 96k miles, no tune (yet). No issues here and still waiting on HPFP recall to be completed. I do my own servicing, no fuel additives and its been a great vehicle so far. Still on original brakes and they look like they aren't even at 50%.
Oil change every 5-7k miles. Started with...
