What part did they say is defective? The generator/alternator assembly? That's about the only part I can think of that could fail other than the battery pack behind the seat. I just looked up the E-Torque unit on the engine, p/n 68438054AE and it shows my local dealer has in stock, list price...
What has been the issue with shipping? I thought they had a pretty good system and most people got there vehicles delivered pretty quick. Has something changed?
BTW, on the Laramie build, the tracker said eta was 8/30, then a few days after it was delivered the tracker finally updated and showed delivered on 8/20. So it appears the Ram tracker site is not the most reliable or up to date info.
It showed ship date of 8/4 on tracker. On 8/20 Mark Dodge called and emailed me saying my truck arrived (not realizing it was no longer my truck). Another member here ordered a Limited from a local dealer here in AZ, his truck shipped on 8/10 and his is arriving today at his dealer and he is...
My ship date was 8/15. As of yesterday morning, 8/24, I was told it was still on train about 8 miles from Port Allen, LA. Once unloaded from rail car, it will be about a 2 hour trip to Mark Dodge, as far as I can tell. The Laramie I originally ordered and canceled took 16 days from ship date...
As of this morning, the train was in Addis, Louisiana....about 8 miles south of Port Allen. I was told it could still take a while by the time they unload the rail cars and stage the new vehicles. Hopefully it goes relatively quick, the suspense is killing me.
I just got word that mine is in Alexandria, LA headed south. It's about 2 hours by car from there to Port Allen, so a Saturday delivery doesn't seem impossible. gbledsoe3, I would imagine yours is on the same train, going by your build date.
Did you get an update on the location of your truck? Mine was on the train near St. Louis as of Saturday afternoon. I wonder if that is the same train yours is on.
The Laramie that I originally ordered was shipped on 8/4 and Mark Dodge emailed me that it arrived there on 8/20. If that same time frame applies, then my Limited should show up there by 8/31. Fingers crossed 🤞
I spoke to a friend of mine today who retired recently from the Long Island Railroad and he said that usually a freight train hauling new vehicles will be only hauling that type of freight and they tend not to want to waste a lot of time in transit due to the high value of the cargo, so they try...
I was originally planning on flying there and driving back, but covid wiped out my time off for this year back in July, so I'm gonna have them ship it. As of this morning mine was in Illinois just across the river from St Louis.
I see you went to Gilbert for yours....did they give you a...
Does anyone know how long the trip takes by rail from the plant to the port in Louisiana? Mine is on it's way and was in Decatur, IL as of this morning. It looks like about 726 miles from there to the port in Louisiana, and then another 2 hours to Mark Dodge. Of course there is time involved...
