Have you experienced the knock on multiple tanks of fuel? Maybe some bad gas? If you always fill at the same gas station try a different one?
I’d try a full tank of 89 octane to see if that reduces/eliminates the knock.
I use 87 most of the time when not towing. No knock here.
Based on the 2020 towing charts the new eco diesel weighs 140 more than the hemi. But that is partially offset by the diesel having a 100lb higher GVWR for nearly all configurations.
I see from the chart that the 4x4 crew cab configs are rated at 7200 GVWR for the diesel but still 7100 for the...
Those RPMs sound about right for a 3.92. I’m thinking you would need to get the 3.21 gears to get the window sticker highway MPG and even then probably not at 75.
Wouldn’t the RPMs On the diesel be the same as the Hemi on the highway? Same transmission gearing, right? So for 3.92 gears at 75 MPH I would expect over 2000 RPM. The OP was expecting 1300 but I don’t see how that’s possible. Even with a 3.21 I would expect about 1750. He didn’t mention the...
Don’t know if your question was for me but I could see if you were in OR2 and you start bottoming the truck in a couple of spots and the wheels are spinning, digging the wheels in deeper. The sensors would sense that the ride height is too high and try to lower.
Never thought that the air suspension would try to lower once the truck is pretty buried but it makes sense that it would. Guess I’d put it in Jack Mode (so the air suspension wont adjust) if I anticipate a similar situation.
I’m also interested in any towing reviews. I have the Hellwig installed on my truck for 2 weeks but haven’t towed yet. I will be towing our travel trailer this weekend but only about 30 miles through the Miami metro area. Probably not far enough to give a full review but we’ll see what the...
I’m 7000 miles in with no trips to the dealer for warranty work only an oil change so far. Had a 2015 Ram before this one, no dealer visits for warranty work for that one, over 3-1/2 years of ownership.
My truck definitely turns off the rear sensors automatically when I plug in my travel trailer using the 7 pin connector. Also the truck has the OEM trailer brake controller.
Forum member Rammit said he upgraded his 23 gallon tank (he has eTorque) to 33 gallon. Just one example.
Last year I did an analysis on the weight of various options. As part of that analysis the eTorque system itself weighs 120 but only brought an 80# payload penalty. That got me looking for...
AnYone looking for Mopar parts, Tasca Parts is running a Cyber sale. Saturday 10% off their already low prices. Then lower discounts Sunday and Monday. Their shipping prices are reasonable too. I bought my Mopar hard tonneau from them in the past, they had the best price I could find at the...
When my truck had 600 miles on it I checked the oil for the first time. It was nearly a quart low and I was concerned. Added a quart to top it off and have been monitoring oil level since then. No oil consumed over 6000 miles. I can only assume it came from the factory one quart low.
