    To Buy Warranty or Not?

The $100 deductible plan is a great deal. 5 extra years of coverage for $1430? That's less than $300 a year or $25 a month for an additional 5 years of peace of mind. I'd be OK with that, plus your only out of pocket is $100 per occurrence. That's half my deductible.

    To Buy Warranty or Not?

I don't have the same concerns that you do because I am horrible at investing my money. If I didn't spend it on the extended warranty, I would have spent it on something else. If you are disciplined and can save the money, then that might be the better route for you. As you noted, its a...

    To Buy Warranty or Not?

From my perspective, the money I paid for the 7 year, 125K extended warranty is worth the peace of mind I will get knowing that my truck will have coverage for another 4 years/90K miles after the manufacturer's warranty expires. I paid approx. $2400 for my extended warranty, which will give me 4...

    Impressed !

I'm with you on the idea that I never would have considered myself a Ram owner until they redesigned the front end. Now I find myself making excuses to do something in or with my truck, just because. The other day I drove my truck to the mailbox, which is half a block away, just to be in the...

Tazer DT group buy - February 2020

Finally ordered mine yesterday. Now just have to wait for it to get here. Already planning on using it to automate the folding mirrors and allow NAV updates while moving.

    Into a 2020 Ram Rebel from a 2014 (4th gen) Ram 1500 Sport

That's a good write up. Thanks for sharing. I hope you get many years of enjoyment from your new Rebel. :)

    Order Tracking

Pretty much the same for me. Ordered 7/13; equipment list came active 9/3; window sticker was active on 9/9; picked up truck 9/19. :) If your build date is 9/19, you should start looking for your truck to be delivered 10-14 days from that date, I'd think. Probably end of Sep/first week of...

    Preventive Maintenance Tips

Babying it may not have been the best choice of phrase. I just meant that I haven't "opened her up" yet. I've been driving her like a truck, but not like a racing truck. I'll wait to go WOT after the 300 mile break-in period is over. :D

    Preventive Maintenance Tips

This is on page 150 of the owner's manual for my 2021 Longhorn. The folks at the dealership didn't even bring up the topic of engine break in, but I've been babying it somewhat since I got it, since I don't want to stress it. It has just under 150 miles since I picked it up on Saturday.

    Does your Ram bite you?

Day three of owning mine I disabled the autolock. I have always disliked that feature.

    Price negotiated from MSRP

Your trick worked. :) Tilting my head back while wearing the polarized sunglasses made the HUD more visible. However, I decided to go with my third pair of Oakley sunglasses because not only did they provide good visibility of the HUD, even at 50% brightness, they were the only ones that fit in...

One last update on my 10th Anniversary Longhorn. I forgot to mention that the passenger side automatic step has a sensor issue that causes the step to not come down all the time, or it will get stuck in the down position sometimes. Dealership told me about the problem before I even went out to...

    Price negotiated from MSRP

Drove the the cousins house yesterday and got to put the eTorque to good use. While the start part is very smooth and almost imperceptible, the engine stop is noticeable. That little jerk as the engine cuts out lets you know that the start/stop is active. :) Overall, though, way smoother than...

I'll give that a try tomorrow when I test the system with the brighter display. Thanks!

You're right about the polarized glasses. I could barely see the speed, and the speed limit/navigation is not visible at all. I could see all three much better with my other Oakley's. I have one more pair that I plan on trying tomorrow to see how they do. I do want to note that the HUD display...

    Price negotiated from MSRP

Hey! I took a picture of the HUD while parked in the driveway after it got a little darker. The picture is of the Advanced setting and includes the speed, speed limit, navigation, and barely visible at the bottom is the lane sense image. I also posted a zoomed in image of the HUD as well. The...

    Price negotiated from MSRP

I do. I will post some when I get back from visiting the cousins this afternoon. I am also going to try wearing my polarized sunglasses. I read somewhere that the polarized sunglasses affect the visibility but the Oakley's I was wearing yesterday did not have any affect on my ability to see the...

Here are the pics for the Longhorn 10th Anniversary with the mountain brown interior. Let me know what you think. I can only upload 10 pics per post, so I will add the rest in the next post.

I had the same problem trying to test the Start/Stop when I was test driving it before I purchased it yesterday. Couldn't hit a red light long enough to cause the system to start/stop. Too funny! I will give a go today and see if I have better luck. Might just pull into an empty parking lot and...
