https://driving-tests.org/vin-decoder/ I just searched "Vin Check" and it was one of the first few that came up

If you only go by the last 8. The digits in 4-7 will be different because the Sundance was a car and will have a different series in there. Because when I put you FULL vin in, your truck comes up.

The can't reuse/reissue VIN's. The problem is some places seem to only look at the last 6 digits, which do repeat year after year. This is just lazy or untrained employees who are not good at this job. A 1999 Dodge would have a year code of "X" so there is no way that should be a duplicate of...

I got the same email this morning. More misdirection to keep you from worrying

I get that is the POC has final word, just frustrating to see the factory area rep give the GM of my dealer a bad date. Makes me lose faith that even they know internally what is going on

From earlier. I believe shipping has an ave of 3-4 weeks after window sticker, so unless you are at WS now it will defiantly be longer. No one has a good answer on how long builds are taking, some are fast, some are slow.

He wasn't the only one. This is earlier in the thread. He got a vin on 12/07 and also has a ship date of 12/19 https://5thgenrams.com/community/threads/start-of-2022-production.35216/post-546167 Edit: he beat me to posting about it above

I don't even exactly trust what is coming down from Stellantis. Attached is a snip of the email I was forwarded back on Nov. 10th and my build date came and went without going to D1. I would assume I am close to D1 if I had a tentative build date of last week, but who knows. It was another week...

I am happy for you and a little mad. It isn't your fault and I know that. But I am using your case as an example to push on my dealership for answers.

At this point, I almost want to wait till after the new year so I don't get a Christmas build time lemon. But we also need a lower mileage truck shortly after the new year. But given approximate ship times, even if it went into production this week, it wouldn't get here in time for what we...

Still waiting to even go D1 let alone get a BS. The dealer GM forwarded an email from the Stellantis rep on Nov. 10th that said my truck should get started the week of 11/29 (last week), but was subject to change. Not sure if that was said to shut me up or if things really did change. I am a...

This was honestly my worry also. I don't even know if I would accept one built the week before Christmas

I got feed that same line about "Can't discuss someone else's build" when I asked them why I was seeing trucks ordered after mine going out with parts that could complete my build.

I went this route at the beginning of Nov. He was quick on the reply and got a fast response from their rep. He forwarded the reply he got from Stellantis what said I was tentatively scheduled to go into production the week of 11/29. That didn't happen and I am still not even a D1. So either my...

Looks very similar to letters a few of us got after asking to be escalated by RamChat. I got min on Oct 14th. It feels like the typical "Ignore the man behind the curtain" type move IMO.

Most of us got one when the order was initially placed. Your dealer can generate a new one any time they want. Most of us asked for one to be generated again after the VIN was created to make sure everything was correct on it.

    Order Tracking

I think its close to a 3-4 weeks usually. Just curious, I didn't see you on the tracker and your order is not far off from mine. When did you order?

Yep you are not alone, there are a few of us in that same boat. I am late June almost July and I know of at least 2 others with similar builds right around my order date.

She sure does like using that word just to show how special and unique my order is... That was a direct copy paste from the email.
