Yes sir, didn’t want to “ thread jack”:) See the thread ‘Mixed Lift, RC 3 1/2” front, Southern Lift 2 1/2” Rear’ or here are a couple before and after pics. I apologize for thread jacking!
Well said and simple, that is 100% it and over on the 3:21 vs 3:92 debate.(y) And yes I agree, seems if the 3:55 was available with the Hemi that would satisfy the majority.
Mine seemed higher in the front also but measured perfectly leveled, to get some rake back just last week I swapped the 1” rear RC lift blocks with 2 1/2” Southern Truck rear lift blocks. Much better now!
You may have to flip a coin, opinions will vary!:) Myself, I opted everything you have listed on the right. 3:92 for as much low-end and tow as possible, e-torque because that is what I was forced to get at time of order but glad I did, and the e-locker so I know for sure the rear diff is locked...
Added rear coil air bags and took the 1” rear coil blocks that came with my RC lift off and replaced with 2 1/2” blocks. Details in my thread ‘Mixed Lift, 3 1/2” RC front and 2 1/2” Southern Rear’.
I have posted in other threads about a “mixed” Lift I would be doing. Finally got it done and wanted to follow up. I had a 3 1/2” RC lift installed this past summer and really like it, but as time went by I decided I wanted more “rake” back on the truck. The RC lift like most others consist of a...
The ways of safely engaging the axle lock are basically the same as engaging the diff lock on a semi tractor. Obviously I do not intend to turn it on while on pavement but did accidentally a couple times and knew right away! It does work well;)
That is possible, I’m not sure if deplorable boards would be affected by a transport mode. Generally, they are either on or off. I would think for transport they would just be turned off altogether?
Not sure about that, when engaged in 2 wd on pavement while turning the inside tire will hop, skip and leave skid marks, it does not shut off till the button is pushed. Just my experiences!
There are some comments on this forum regarding this, not sure where I saw them. Seems the consensus was if you enter the truck and wait to put into gear they will fold in faster and be fine. If you immediately enter and put into gear and take off before they fold in then they will be delayed...
Very nice and welcome! Yes, there are some comments on this forum mentioning the running boards. Seems the consensus was if you enter the truck but wait to put into gear they will fold up faster than entering your truck and immediately putting in gear while they are still out, they will then be...
I’ll keep it going:). I agree with previous comments. It really is a simple system and I don’t worry about it. Start, stop is seamless. As far as safety goes, I would much rather have my family in a pickup with a small ‘mild hybrid’ battery than a tiny car with multiple hybrid batteries! ;)
Correct, when the screen setup display is set on the speedometer just hit the ok button on left side of steering wheel to go back and forth from mph to kph like Redrider mentioned, very simple. Sometimes I accidentally bump it as well.
