I just keep trying to remember that it would probably be stuck in inspection if it was an issue vs parts. And I'm just mad at myself. As soon as the build sheet showed up I sold my current truck. I've got transportation, and its certainly not a necessity, but I probably should have held off...
I know I'll never have the pleasure of finding out, but I would love to know what has my truck, or others for that matter bottle necked at the Body Vendor (JB). I'm going on 18 days based on my build sheet showing up, and Ram Chat has me at 21 days. Can't be the Ramboxes or Pano Roof as those...
Ordered 4/16, currently in JB and have not received any emails. I’d guess you are correct in that they aren’t going to be retroactive with the new tracking system.
Ordered my Laramie 4/16. Was built super fast with a build sheet on 5/2. Been at the body vendor for two weeks now. Could still easily show up within the next month, but I’ve learned to expect a stage or two to take longer than you would think between this truck and my Wrangler order last year.
Well I hope not. Been in JB for over a week now. Actually just got off of Ram Chat and was told the following when I asked if there was an average time to be in JB: "Your vehicle has been in this stage for 11 days. It can stay in for around 14." Take it for what you will I guess.
Makes no sense. Here's an example of how stupid the system works. I know with the Wranglers last fall the all weather mats were a big issue for delays. I ordered mine with a package that deleted the all weather mats and had mine in 7 weeks. People who had ordered months before me were still...
Oh for sure. I'd day 4-6 weeks from the day my window sticker pops up would be about right barring a hold waiting for shipment. I was not expecting to have this truck till the end of the summer at best and its looking like it will now be much closer to the beginning.
Just got off the chat with Ram and was told "Thank you so much for holding. I am showing that your vehicle is currently in the frame stage of the build process. Currently no Dealer ETA has been provided." I still can't believe that I went into build so fast. I ordered 4/16 and was/still am...
They had a little asterisk on the sheet I signed that stated you must qualify at time of delivery. So I have it locked in as an option, but will need to qualify to get it later.
No reclining or heated rear seats on Level II when I ordered on 4/16. It was the deciding factor between Level I and II for me. Still no reclining seats in my Level 1 but I can live with it.
It’s not just Ram. This is how it is with Wranglers too. I’m guessing this is how it is for all CDJR vehicles. There is no rhyme or reason to it. It’s makes no sense and certainly isn’t fair.
Let’s hope! This is such a different experience so far from my wrangler order last year. Still plenty of time for disappointing setbacks, so trying to not get my hopes up quite yet [emoji23]
Just a heads up, Ford had massive issues with warped dashes on the F150's. One dealer near me had every single truck on the lot with the issue. It's amazing how no one seems to be able to get dashes right anymore.
I had the brown interior on my '16 and was looking forward to getting it again on my '22 order. A little bummed to only have black as a choice, but the tan headliner should make for a nice contrast. Would love to have a Longhorn for the interior, but the Southwest Package on the Laramie made it...
Wow, coming from my Wrangler order last year where I was in D for quite some time this feels crazy fast to me. I'll be confirming with my dealer this weekend. Thanks!
Excited to see Patriot Blue back as an option! Ordered this past weekend, so I am living through all of y'alls beautiful trucks during the long wait. Here is a little blast from the past for the thread though. Here is my first truck, a 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 SC in Patriot Blue and Khaki two tone...
