When I lived up north, they only sold 4x4 as there was no guarantee things would be plowed and so I had a 4x4.
When i moved back to Florida (west coast), I bought a 4x2 with eLocker (and now LSD on the new ram). I would never buy a truck with a straight open diff on the rear end as I've seen...
Not to be pedantic, but moving to a 48 volt system that frees up the engine from running the cooling fan, AC etc when stopped would alone be useful for MPG even if start/stop was not present. 48V systems in general are coming, Ram literally just beat all the german luxury brands to it.
So yes...
Are these the p rates? What pressure are you running in them? I had the p275/65r20 put on on Monday and they originally we're at 38 which just seemed to wallow and feel overall dangerous on any slight turn. I pumped it up to 44 psi and everything seems more stable now.
I have 20s, but I'm running 275/65s which at 34.1 is pretty close to the same size. Mine are 4 ply g2s so I can't compare ride, but from a looks perspective I think the 34s are absolutely perfect
Just make sure the SL you are putting on have equal to or greater than the OEM load rating. Xl itself doesn't indicate the load rating of the tire, just that it's a thicker sidewall.
I'd be worried that the thickness of the liner would throw off the foldability of it, the spray liners are actually pretty thick. Not to mention it would add a good amount of weight and how often are you really putting a pile of gravel on top of your cover?
Make sure its not the Non-BSG bighorn package 2. If it is, you lose the 400W inverter and a whole lot of USB plugs. Also, avoid tow package like the plague since you basically pay 400 dollars for the privilege of trading $1K stock mirrors for some non-power folding, non-heated, non dimming, over...
The Denali may not have been plastic, it just wasn't top grain leather. A lot of care companies use actual leather, but it's split grain and they actually roll a top grain pattern on it instead of using actual top grain.
I really want to get the tallest p metric tire I can for my stock 20's and it seems the Terra Grappler G2 is the winners at 275/65r20. My worry is that some of the reviews say the tire is a straight white knuckle in the rain and given that I live in FL bad wet traction is something I can't...
If you're looking for an optimum highway cruiser, drop the 4x4 and just stick with 4x2 and an LSD and probably get a 2nd vehicle like a UTV that you can tow to the trails.
With out knowing how "off road" you really want to go, its impossible to know if an LSD is going to be "enough" for you...
If you are going to be doing off-roading, get the e-locker. In basically all cases off road the e-locker is more useful.
Personal opinion after having a few trucks and an FJ Cruiser, the LSD is best suited for the guys with 4x2's that need traction on road like pulling out of a boat ramp and...
Yes, this mpg meter does take in to account idling, including remote starts. My F150 gauge loved to lie by not counting my time idling in park. It used to tell me I was getting 17.5 when by hand it was more like 16 since I do a lot of idling
I'm at about 800 miles and it just started smelling, it's some pretty dank stuff.
I'm honestly wondering if they used some hemp based lube. I use mpro7 and if you Huff the ejection port it smells pretty similar
Oh, definitely not, its nice and tight and secured on all 4 sides plus it has 2 aluminum bars that run the width of it to provide some rigidity. The main reason I actually like the Access covers is that it can be released from either side of the tailgate.
