Curious about recent delivery times too. I know year over year it's averaged about 26 days. But so much has changed this year, I'm curious what it's like now (and I guess we'll find out!). It's a big difference if it arrives 11/1 as the website states vs the last week of October, or the 2nd week...
Now we just have to hope the November incentives are good (or Oct if it gets there faster than expected). It's always funny explaining to people in person that I have this truck coming, and I don't actually know what I'm paying for it (just worst case).
Everything from that week got pushed back because of the strike and plant closure. You'll probably be built the first week of October (for comparison I was 9/21 and am now 10/1).
Thank you! I definitely was not expecting it to take 5-6 months! That being said, it's working out okay because it's given time for fuel costs to come down a bit, incentives to get better, and for me to get a bigger downpayment. So all that is good. I just hope my wife's 14 year old Rav4 with...
With factory to dealer taking ~25 days plus PDI/financing time, I think anything built after this week is going to be a November pickup, or very late October.
I'm tent camping my way home, so I went from being worried about melting (I originally thought August pickup, hah!) to now thinking I...
Fair warning my Big Horn was ordered 5/17, and was slated to be built today until last week's shut down. Currently scheduled for 10/1 - hopefully delivery by the end of Oct/first week November.
Oooh, you beat me by a couple days :-p
Then the real question is how quickly do they get to the dealership (MD in my case) and get PDI'd. IE will this be an October pickup or November. I have the last two weekends of October blocked out of making plans based on the original "ship date"... so...
This. Sometimes the closer dealers will seem as cheap, or close enough - but then they force you to get extra packages you don't want, or financing gives you a hard sell and a lot of hassle. Or they tack on an extra "convenience fee" or some crap, or their doc fees are higher. The draw of MD is...
Yeah, the 33 gallon was the first feature I decided on... I've been towing with a Chevy Traverse and have to fuel up every 100 miles. I'm over it, and ready for more range!
That's actually better than I thought they'd start. My 9/21 slated order (ordered in May) just got bumped to 10/1, so it's impressive they're starting the 2023's only 5 weeks later. They have a lot of 2022 trucks left to build!
Their 6-9 month lead time quote (back in May) was what tipped me towards MD vs Granger. Looks like I'll be at right around 5 - 5.5 (depending on this shutdown) months at the end of the day. I'm thinking Granger must be padding it, like you said. But who knows!
I found this prior discussion here - which goes indepth on the gray area (or rather the vagueness of Ram).

Basically this quote: "RAM is including 150 lbs for the driver in one spec but not in another...
FYI the truck weights already account for driver and fuel. So you need to account for passengers and stuff and hitch weight (and 100lbs for weight distribution hitch).
