Nice! I have had cab lights on every pickup I have owned, even a couple of F-150’s. Have had the lighted windshield visors on a 2001 Ram 2500 and a 1994 Ford F-350. Guess I will patiently wait for something to come out for the ‘19 DT.
Since I haven’t figured out the cab light situation yet, I did add some marker lights up front today. Obviously I did post this on the “What did you do to your Ram today” thread but I’ll post a pic here also. What the heck.
Just to add to this, I have been researching the cab/windshield visors with built in lights. Have found some for the ‘19 Classic since they are the same as previous models but not the new DT. Don’t know if the visors are possible since the clearance lights were not, at least not without risks...
All great advice. Always use touch less and be aware of ever using the foam brush at a car wash in the self wash bays. Will scratch the heck out of paint. People use these on their old beaters and scrub mud and sand off their vehicles and leave them very abrasive for the next person.
Since I was advised not to do cab clearance lights I thought what the heck and installed some marker lights up front. Thought about going behind the grille but didn’t want to look like a Raptor and getting behind it is a real PITA so I went this route.
Guess I was impressed with how fast the 12” actually is. And like the majority on this thread, when given a choice, who the heck says “smaller please”?;)
Absolutely happy, ordered my first truck, then changed my mind on some things, ordered a second truck which I have now. Glad I made those changes, no regrets!(y)
He has been fortunate. Truck is rusting out in places, and has had a new tranny but the engine has been good, surprising. Kinda like a few of those 6.0 stock powerstroke unicorns out there with over 200,000 miles.
Sounds to me your doing it all correctly. I would think if you had no problem with the Taco, then the Ram should be even more capable and I agree completely with what @devildodge previously stated.
No problems here pulling livestock trailer. Normally in the 6-7000# range. Do tow 10,000# rarely on backroads (just because that is the best route, wouldn’t be afraid to take it on the highway if needed) at around 50-55mph no problems (could go faster but the roads are too rough). Power and...
Yeah I had a 5.4 in a ‘06 F-150 and didn’t have it long enough to have any problems. It was ok powerwise for that time. My dad currently has a ‘05 F-150 with the 5.4 with over 225,000 miles and hasn’t had any problems, lucky I guess. On the other hand, a friend of mine and a neighbor to the...
Yeah I’ve always heard holding the fob up higher around your head and it works better. It does. Figured it was just using my strong brain waves:LOL: to help. I noticed if I push the lock button as some have mentioned then start it works better. I have had a couple vehicles that work better when...
Speaking of commercials and I may be bias but nothing out there no matter the advertisement beats the Ram/Dodge commercials. Love how Ram focuses on human spirit and hard work in the foreground so to speak with the truck itself quietly getting it done in the background, love the stories they...
Completely agree about the tailgate, I would be embarrassed as a truck builder to have a 2 minute commercial about a tailgate and nothing else. I would take it as the rest of it isn’t worth mentioning, and they know it. Nana nana, hey hey hey, good by GM. Guess it does stick with you though.
