Is that real or is it marketing. The 2500 and 3500 have the approximately same front GAWR and the CTD and 6.4L have the same rear GAWR in each (6000 in the 2500, 7000 in the 3500). Yet, in the 2500 the CTD has 760 lb lower payload and in the 3500 it has 140 lb higher payload. Should more as if...
The 2500 is much cruder than the 1500. I don't like the live front axle. I don't like the look in general. The camera system is behind the GMC. The rear air suspension is nice. Air bags can be added to anything. If all I did was tow...given what's available...a 2500 with 5th wheel/gooseneck...
I think the dream would have been a 2014 with Quadrasteer. :)
All in all, very disappointed. A 3/4-ton is just too big...doesn't fit parking spots, to high for the wife to comfortably use. And I like the idea of a 4-wheel air suspension.:cry::cry::cry::cry:
Makes sense. Have you tried even lower pressures? If you're empty, with those tires, you probably could drop to 30psi or even less. At 35psi, the lost on the LT load table, they still are about the same place as the OE tires at load capacity.
BTW: Have you the ORG and have you considered adding...
I've been on this forum trying to understand towing with the Ram 1500, and while enthused by the idea of a 4-corner air suspension have, like the owners, been fluxed by the low payload ratings which limit tongue weight.
A glance at the table below highlights the problem. The Ram, even using the...
Which tires do you have? With the higher GAWR in the rear, I would have thought that would have the higher pressure.
This the thread where the bolt was shaved on a 4th gen to fit: https://www.ramforumz.com/threads/oversized-spare-tire-what-sizes-fit.249477/post-2170349
With ORG a 34" has the...
A lot of those tires are measured on 8" or 8.5" rims (my QX56 OE has 275/60-20 on 8" wide rims). Each 1/2" in rim width adds about 0.2" in section width and a slight reduction in diameter. The Ram has 20x9" rims. On the 20x9 rim, the 275/65-20 in probably around 11.4" wide, the 285/60 about...

There is another one where someone fit a 34" and it was concerned about the distance to the muffler. In another forum I recall some shaving some bolt heads to increase the space, but I think that was for a 4th gen. In any...
I've seen threads where 35" do rub...but they may have been 305/12.5 wide. What did you do for a spare?
In the picture, what setting is the air suspension set to?
Another factor: 34" is about the absolute max diameter for a spare. I recommend getting a 5th wheel and mounting another of the tires on it. When towing or off-road, a mismatched spare or temporary spare won't do.
I'm wondering if the 275/65 would look any different than 295/60. On OE rims that...
I've been considering a similar size tire for my purchase. I believe the answer is LT295/60-R20. It is rated by Nitto as 33.94 in tall and 11.77 in wide on 8.5" wider rims. On the Ram's 20x9 in rims that should be right at 12" wide and maybe 33.9" tall. The 2019 ORG/Rebel actually increase the...
That's a 35" tire. If you search 35" tires on the Ram, they have front/back interference with the fenders. Some have documented the modifications they have made.
ORG and Rebel are 1" higher from the wheel hub to bodywork. A 34" tire, a 285/70-18 adds one inch in radius and should have OEM...
