    A little disappointed in quality...

Good you elaborate on how you would repair it? I know MB, Audi, BMW dealerships have leather repair folks on a regular schedule and the repairs, at least on pigmented leathers, seems undetectable. How would repair it and how would you recommend @steveved go about finding a leather repairer?

Please post your Tire and Loading sticker

It's a law for commercial at 10k GVRW and requiring a CDL at 26k GCWR. Maybe in Canada. But many vehicles are modified and modifications can raise or lower GVWR and it is never rerated. Next, there doesn't appear to be any standard or even SAE paper on this calculation. I'm still trying to...

2019 Ram Rebel Wheels/Tires on Limited

Wheels and tires will run about $500/$700 per wheel. Are you 20" or 22" now? If 20" you may be able to use 18" wheels which would allow more tire sidewall to absorb stuff, especially if aired down (see video posed here: https://5thgenrams.com/community/threads/airing-down-tires.13184/) To fit...

    Airing Down Tires

To get to 65/70/75 with a 20" tire the OD needs to be 35" or the width OEM (275/65-20 is 34.1). However, the 18" wheels seem to have a very tight clearance with the brake caliper which is unknown for aftermarket wheels. The OE wheels may have a flair to clear it. 15psi maximum. 11psi...

2019 Ram Rebel Wheels/Tires on Limited

How minimum maintenance and what did they consider the surface to be? What is your budget and is this a fun mod? What suspension do you have? I'm guessing not the ORG, do you have air suspension? If it just a dirt road that everyone travels in a passenger car you probably don't 'need' to do...

    Airing Down Tires

This forum is filled with capable trucks with huge all-terrain tires. Many of them are for show, but I imagine many end up off road, whether a gravel trail to cabin or sandy beaches. It is apparently best practice to drop pressures into the 20s and even the teens, the air up for the trip home...

It's not just Ram, it's on all the pickup and big SUV forums. I've seen GMC/Chevy stuff talking about independent front suspension on their 2500s. The big catch there is those are 8000lb trucks with 6.6-liter gas engines. The diesel is a $10k option. But a loaded gas 2500HD Denali is less than a...

But what are the OE Ram wheels? Where a weighed trailer will have known and adjustable weights on each axle, for an arbitrary payload they might not know. That may be the reason the GVWR is 10% less than the combined GAWRs. And they may have used softer springs to make it a pickup with a...

2019 Ram Rebel Wheels/Tires on Limited

Lots of parts, including the front spindles, have different part numbers for 22" tires. There are 2WD and 4WD suspension parts, coil and air suspension parts, regular, Off-Road Group, and Rebel parts. I was pretty surprised to see special numbers for 22" wheels. Marketing must have made quite a...

    V6 & Air Suspension

The V6 is a fine engine. Other than towing a trailer, I doubt few people are ever at wide-open throttle (WOT) in normal use. A few points on mileage: 1) Friction is your enemy. It turns energy into heat rather than mechanical work. Generally, lower engine speeds will have the lowest fuel...

Plasti dip OEM wheels. Yes, No, Maybe?

They are popular with autocrossers. There, the Plasti-dip also protects the wheels from brake dust.

I recently created another thread discussing this. It isn't black and white. https://5thgenrams.com/community/threads/what-is-really-the-right-way-to-determine-max-payload-and-towing-weight.13097/ The only serious standard is SAE J2807 which 10 years ago was only used by Toyota. That standard...

    2019 vs. 2020 RAM 1500

I posted the 2020 Fleet guide a few days ago: https://www.fcausfleet.com/content/dam/fca-fleet/na/fleet/en_us/shopping-tools/brochures-literature/docs/2020-Buyer'sGuide.pdf The Ram 1500 starts on page 111. The is a black package on the Limited a few other changes on other models through...

Can Someone Post the Fender Height on Air Suspension Rebel

For reference, the reason was to decide if we preferred an ORG to a non-ORG. I didn't have a need to raise the truck per se. We wanted the skid plates and electronic diff. The ORG includes them plus hill descent and the HD shocks and is less expensive than buying them separately with the last...

What is the Minimum Ram Payload: A Contest with No Prize!!!

You forgot that ridiculous Sierra tailgate. But I'd know what is happening behind the truck without and aftermarket setup and a screen mounted on top of the dash. And the truck would have the towing and payload capacity, no questions asked. What I really want is a modern Yukon XL 2500...one...

Can Someone Post the Fender Height on Air Suspension Rebel

Thanks. It indicates that the suspension is 1" higher, with the vehicle 1.5" higher, the extra 1/2" coming from the 33" tires. Is that correct? With the air suspension, it seems the height increase comes from raising the suspension, effectively extending the spring and trading droop for more...

What is the Minimum Ram Payload: A Contest with No Prize!!!

Something is seriously wrong with this picture. I'm beginning to think a Sierra 2500HD Denali, which is less expensive than a loaded Limited or Laramie Longhorn, might be an option to be considered. It not only comes with real, functioning trailer mirrors, but the review mirror can be a camera...

Tire Options for 22' Limited Wheels with No Lift/Level

Conceptually I like the idea of maintaining droop travel although I'm not a fan of raising beyond getting minimum tire clearance. I don't see anything different with the Daystar other than using extenders rather than bolting to and cutting the OE studs. What allows the Daystar to work with the...
