There are utterly oblivious, impolite people who hang out in the left lane for miles at or very close to the speed limit and won't move over even when there's plenty of room for them to do so if you're following them at a distance that ACC will allow. I don't think it constitutes "road rage" to...
Well, when I get my truck, I'll have a look. I'm new to RAM/FCA, but if you knew my background, you'd understand that I would not consider tweaking something via the OBD port unusual at all. :D
Correct, it does use the same hardware. But that doesn't mean you can have ACC just by adding switches. I'm new to RAM/FCA but I can tell you for a fact that certain other manufacturers use different software in the hardware, and/or cryptographically secure "Feature Enabling Codes"...
Of course there are often slower vehicles. But if they're taking up all available lanes, you have to slow down anyway. With a normal cruise, that means fiddling with the controls or tapping the brake first and then matching speed with the accelerator. With adaptive, it handles all that...
I don't think that's correct.
I scoured dealer inventory high and wide trying to find the exact truck I wanted. I failed at that, but did find quite a few examples of trucks with EcoDiesel engine and 33 gallon tanks. Heck, I test-drove a Limited with EcoDiesel and 33 gallon tank at my...
Yep. The failure rate of most products tends to have a bowl-shaped curve over time. It starts out high early on as true defects show up relatively quickly. It then settles down for a period of time after defects have shaken out, and later rises again as wear, tear, and just plain age begin...
Really? I've owned plenty of older vehicles that never shut off their 12V lighter sockets at all. They only went to switched power when people started leaving phone chargers plugged into those outlets and complaining that their vehicle's batteries were dying. Of course doing that that...
I don't either, at least not at my house. That's why it's in the basement of the business I own. I got it at a big discount by going in on it with four of the guys who work for me back during the last panic and ammo price spike in 2013. I think all told, we spent over $3k on equipment...
Leveling it, or lifting it a bit, should be possible with nothing more than a "cheat" when calibrating the suspension via the OBD port. At least this is the case on another brand of vehicles with air suspension that I'm more familiar with. However, I have no idea exactly how one would go...
Here's the order my dealer placed just shy two weeks ago:
What's curious is that sales code NFF, the 33 gallon tank is priced at 0. I suppose that implies it's included (or a no-cost option) with one of the other packages?
Why? Especially considering that RAM's implementation allows you to revert to "normal" cruise if you wish.
Personally I consider it a must-have feature for long distance driving on the interstate.
Whether an electric vehicle of any sort makes sense depends on its use. If it's only driven short distances, particularly under stop-and-go conditions, and it returns to "base" where it can be re-charged at a leisurely pace overnight then there may be a very good case for it. Most regions...
If there's a demand, there will be a supply. There may not be a filling station at every big intersection and off-ramp like there currently is, and you may have to plan long trips a bit more carefully, as EV drivers currently do, but it fuel isn't going to disappear.
Look at how few...
