I think I was in there earlier and it looks like the part number does match. The part number on my muffler is 68517364AA. Which I believe is correct. What else could be causing it to be so quiet?
My old post got buried but is there anyone out there with a GT that can send a picture of your muffler? I need to see if it matches what is on my GT.
The sound is not correct so I need to figure out what's going on here.
The sound:
The picture of my muffler.
Anyone out there that can help?
I'm in a difficult spot on this. I ordered early enough to be locked in for the FCA affiliate discount and they also honored my original price rather than up charge me with Ram's increases. So I got the truck for an extremely good price. If I re-ordered I know I would be paying probably closer...
I'm pushing for them to correct this. I've shown them videos and comments from other users on here about how it is not correct. Luckily they are a small local dealer that has been very trust worthy in the past. I'm hoping we can get this corrected rather than ordering again.
I haven't taken it off the lot yet. There were computer issues with the truck so nothing was working. They are still trying to fix it. Sounds like I've got a real winner of a pickup here...
Here is a link to the clip I took of my exhaust when I went to the dealer yesterday. It was in a warm shop but was not started for hours. This is a cold start and this is what it sounds like. What does everyone think? Is something wrong here?

Yeah my GT has zero bark. Maybe I'm just going crazy. I'm uploading a quick youtube clip right now and once it's up I'll share it so you can listen to it. Maybe my expectations were too high.
Does your muffler look just like this one?
Yeah it sucks but the part number on the muffler is correct with what it should be. Just for whatever reason it sounds exactly the same as a non GT. We started them side by side and there was no difference whatsoever. I feel like I either got a dud or my expectations were way too high from...
Did you ever get someone to send you a picture of their muffler or any other confirmation? I looked at my GT yesterday and the sound was NOTHING like the other reviews you see in videos. Sounded extremely quiet and very much like a stock factory muffler to me.
This is a picture of what is on my...
This is what is currently on my Rebel GT. It's the big round can muffler which looks just like the stock muffler of a non GT. The only weird part to me is that the part number matches what should be on the GT.
Does anyone else have this issue with their GT sounding exactly the same as a non...
Need some help!!!
Can anyone with a GT package (Laramie or Rebel, doesn't matter) please send me a good picture of your muffler? My GT showed up with the standard exhaust on it and the dealer is fighting me on this. It has NO sound to it whatsoever so I need a picture to prove they are...
Finally went to the dealer tonight to pickup my Rebel GT that I ordered in July. Was built 2 weeks before Christmas and it showed up with the normal exhaust, not the Mopar catback exhaust, and also the truck would not come out of "ship mode" and once they finally got it out of ship mode the...
@GeorgiaBoy The trim stage is where essentially everything is put in the vehicle. Motor, dash, console, etc, the chassis is mated to the body, bed is attached. Basically all that's been done before this stage is the frame and body are painted. This stage puts it all together. That's how it was...
