Couldn’t have been luckier. The Sierra never moved and neither did the guy on the other side of me. Unfortunately, Sierra 5.3 guy never saw the HEMI, but there’s always next time. Happy New Year, everyone.
Has anyone replaced the stock rear shocks with the ORP shocks, but left their non-ORP rear coil springs in? The rear lift options for this truck (1 inch or greater) are too high for what I’m looking for. The ORP shocks appear to be slightly longer, so wondering if (A) I’d get a small, maybe .25...
Thats what I thought initially, but it sounded a bit different than the other Mopar cat-back I heard. I saw this from a MotorTrend article, which made me think it was something different.
Waited 3 hours for an alignment, oil change, and state inspection today. While I was at the dealership, heard a 1500 GT idle and accelerate, and it had the perfect exhaust note. I’m sure there’s something on here about it, but I would like to know what it would cost to swap my factory exhaust...
That does look better, but I assumed OEM would be a better fit and a more exact chrome-match. Now I’m just not sure I want one there at all. Looks pretty good on yours with the white paint, though.
Chris
Yeah, that’s one of my complaints. Another is since there is such a high contrast between the chrome and my paint color, the middle dip/contour in the hood doesn’t appear fluid between the hood and the deflector. This is a picture before the deflector and I think it looks a bit better.
Yeah, I might remove the hood deflector tomorrow though. Don’t really care for how it looks from an angle. Kind of a waste of $150 from that perspective, but maybe I’ll be able to convince my dealer to take it back.
Thanks! I was wondering the same because they did not. But then I looked down on the ground when I was just about finished and saw 4 of them. They must have fallen out of the bag that contained the new bezels.
Thanks man. Yea, I heard the Rough Country speedo calibrator helps smooth out the shift points though. It’s like $250 but I think I would get it if/when I go up in size. I still have about another year left on these OEMs.
From what I understand, it’s a mix of weight and diameter. There’s a handy gear ratio calculator on tiresize.com that I’ve been playing around with. The larger diameter reduces your effective gear ratio which can lead to gear hunting on the highway and and slower times off the line (if that...
Side note, if you add rear wheel well liners, I bet it would look even more full. I have them with my 32’s and it helps a bit when looking from the side.
Looks great man, thanks. If I didn’t have the 3.21, I’d probably go 34 or 33.5. I’m a little concerned with going larger than 33. I do think the 33 fits nicely though.
