I installed the Ramair myself, the magnaflow, I had someone else do!
Lemme tell you I was scared ****less doing that intake :ROFLMAO:
There's a big thread on the intake in general, but on install - I was missing the wrenches needed, and tightening the final bit on the throttle body was scary...
Best mod IMHO, if I had to pick one. Paired with a free flowing exhaust? Awesome.
If, god forbid, something happened to my truck and I had to start over?
100% I'd get another ram, and 100% I'd want a ramair in it!
So here's my guess off the top of my head
- The height of the truck + the tires will have more of an effect at highway speeds IMHO, bigger profile cutting through the wind.
The Rebel is on a knife edge anyway, in terms of MDS being on (fuel savings up) and MDS being off (fuel savings down)...
I have a set of AT3s - I posted a ton in the AT3 threads.
Like, more than maybe I should have posted :ROFLMAO:
They're wayyy improved from the Toyo AT2s in wet traction, big time.
On dry pavement the later grip is amazing.
IMHO now that they're worn in, I think it improved my MPG. They were...
Congrats on the new truck man!
Just a heads up though, whether you have a few ideas for mods, a lot, or none - after browsing on this boars awhile you end up reaching for your credit card way more than you ever intended to :ROFLMAO:
Very cool, I'm pretty excited to get my falcons on now! How would you say the towing experience is AFTER the falcons?
My guesstimate is that the knob settings probably go like this
Setting 1 - normal
Setting 2 - with 600-900lbs of weight in the bed
Setting 3 - 900+/towing
Is it something...
If that's the magnaflow full system, I got one of those early on, back before the borla units were out.
I ordered a Magnaflow 19430 back in the day.
I measured the muffler on it, it's their big 22in unit, the mellow-est one magnaflow makes.
On my old Ram I had a Borla XR1 muffler on a stock...
So I had a 2016 Rebel,
I put KO2 tires on it. Off the top of my head I wanna say 13.7mpg was a number I saw a lot of in city driving. In cold cold conditions, 4x4, lowest number I ever saw? It was 12. Something.
12.5 might be it. Alltime low.
Right now, 2019 Rebel, toyo AT3s (stock size)...
Very nice, how would you say the falcon shocks handle the plow? How do you like the falcons in general?
I ended up ordering a set of falcons a few weeks ago, I'm debating running them at medium or level setting!
Man I thought the same thing and then realized - good lord the Ram's running enormous and heavy offroad tires, AND skidplates, AND all the suspension goodies, reinforced frame, and extra fender meat!
I imagine someone with a TRX might try to lower and lighten it. I can't imagine how fast that...
Ah and a crazy, crazy thought popped into my head.
What if you could have better towing load control, AND weight savings?
So this is the falcon teraflex shock kit. Most buy it to add 2in on the front of their truck for levelling.
I ordered a set recently, I plan on running them in the medium...
So IIRC those vehicles come in "7 passenger" Trim.
They know between large passengers and leather packages, those payloads have to be high and they're sprung as such within safety margin. The Ram seats 5.
The reality is, payload doorsticker number aside? The Big pickup is a vastly better tow...
I'm going to agree with you on that one, a lot of aftermarket wheels don't speak to me - but this gentleman's setup looks damn near factory!
Very tasteful look.
A thank you to all the guys who posted in this thread, aaand the others on these shocks.
It's not in yet, but I found a 4x4 place, and have a set of these on order!
I was quoted like 6 to 8 weeks.
The Plan: Run these in the "medium" setting, to raise the front about an inch (for ground...
On my Gen 1 Rebel I had a Borla XR1 muffler, the rest of the exhaust system was stock (resonators and all).
I LOVED that sound, the borla sound profile is beautiful - and I felt bad on frozen nights with cold starts.
I actually started parking further away and walking to avoid waking the...
