If you get your truck tuned or use the pedal commander on advanced settings (more agressive throttle response), the MDS disengagement is more prominent when you apply throttle. Light throttle changes will kick it off seamlessly but pressing down more on the go pedal will yield a bump when the 4...
Can't recall exactly but it seemed like mine still had a time in each unused step. I'm not sure if the "Off" is just the light selection or defeats the step entirely. That up to the guy that wrote the code. Maybe I'll have some time tomorrow to play with it.
All mechanical structures have a safety factor built in. It is advisable to not exceed the rated limits but the structure can typically handle more. A truck frame and axles/suspension aren't like a fuse where something blows at exactly the limit. The truck is rated to haul/tow the rated limits...
Sorry, I didn't ask the right way. In the PC Software there is a list of steps in each custom light show. Going by memory since my laptop is at work but I think that each step had a short default time even if no lights are specified. I had to set each one to 0 or Off (can't...
How so? The demo light shows that come built in seem to flash at a very rapid rate? The custom light shows allow flash times in milliseconds. Most people can't see a light flashing faster than 16ms (60hz) which is equivalent to the frame rate on the HD movies. Florescent lights also flicker at...
It only proves he is used to a certain way of shifting. Neither way is any "more intuitive". It's just as easy to miss a selection with a column shifter. I heard people say a rotary dial phone was more intuitive than a touchtone phone when they first switch. Of course, over time that sentiment...
I believe, as mentioned earlier by @Rockgt302 , the cruise control (not adaptive cruise) button enables Tazer DT settings. My menu screens are all working now. Excellent work Z-Auto!
V18.0.3 just released about 5 minutes ago. My update tool showed I was up to date at 18.0.1 then I tried again and had an update. Use the update tool (PC software) to get it. I'm flashing it now!
I hope they updated the manual! If not, can our beta tester outline the differences so we can navigate?
There is a sticker under the rear axle's differential that has the ratio on it. It's also listed in the build sheet that your dealer can access after it has been built.
A quick check while driving is to look at the RPMs at 70mph. You should see around 2000 RPM +/- a little.
Also, your gas...

Has the updated Tazer DT graphic but links to the wrong Tazer (OBD2 version) firmware. I suspect, based on the low tech layout of their webpage, someone failed to correctly update the link. Ugh. So we wait.
I'm going to attempt to use their app and see if it...
Since we've beat this Knob to death, I might as well add:
My "manliness" has nothing to do with what I drive. Case in point, some on here may also drive a Mustang which is obviously marketed for the ladies. :D :ROFLMAO::cool:
Experiment being the key word. He says the feature is otherwise useless. Lane keep can be turned off. Adaptive cruise uses radar, if I'm not mistaken.
The other option is to go to the dealer. Other trucks aren't doing what we see in the video. My guess is they will say "no problem found" and...
Mine work fine. I've never taken mine off Auto in 8 months and 13k miles with plenty of night driving on all types of roads. It sounds like some trucks are too sensitive. An easy experiment would be to place some Scotch tape or other lightly shaded film over the sensor. Might be an easy fix.
Do you know what the firmware version number is? Z-Automotive's website (support page) doesn't currently list the Tazer DT. There is a "Taser" and "Taser Ram" listed. I'm assuming they will add the Taser DT when available since we now have an update.
Mine turns off too. I started watching and listening for the warning message and chime. I believe I was missing the message and couldn't hear the chime with the radio up. Mine is consistent. I do wish it was more sensitive to driver input because a flat straight road with hands on the wheel...
I prefer the Knob. I don't care if it fits someone's perception of what a "truck" is. I bought the best truck I could find. I love the huge console and direct access of the Knob. I suspect more vehicles will have a knob or pushbutton shifter in the future. We can't live in the past.
Everything on the Pulsar works normally. Any Taser DT settings that are configured for the various buttons work as expected. The incompatibility is with the menus for changing settings with the ignition on/motor off. I selected all my Taser settings with the Pulsar uninstalled then installed the...
