Looks like the Pulsar is good for a 0.3 sec improvement 0-60 mph based on several runs I just made. I think traction control is limiting the launch. I'll try Stock vs Performance with TC off later.
Do you know when custom tuning will be available? I'd love to have the throttle response more like "Tow" and tuning to accommodate exhaust, intake, and 93 Octane. "Performance" gets a little hairy when jumping into traffic or emergency maneuvers.
Not sure I found the same video but the one I watched was a guy using a GPS based app. No way that's accurate. I have Tazer DT module installed on my truck and it measures 0-60 ET directly from the speedo. I'll do some test soon and report back.
That is due to the speed you are driving. MDS mode at lower speeds has enough power to pull a small hill and mileage will be lower. MDS mode has a HP threshold that, when crossed, kicks it off. A truck running 70+ mph requires more power than the MDS threshold. You'll see it at times going...
It comes up on the last view you manually selected on that screen. I programmed my Cruise Resume button to turn on the Camera Screen. I see the same behavior also.
No. That's not how physics work. If a mass accelerates faster than before, it has more force over the same time than it did previously. That means more power was applied.
The area under the power curve is different than just the peak power. Everyone focuses on peak HP but we don't operate at...
I also bought the $13 one listed in the other thread. It's tempered glass and fit edge to edge. No defects and chrystal clear. My advise is to save your money. It's a square piece of tempered glass. There is no magic. Either fits or not. Mine fits perfect.
You can create your own light sequence with the ZPU software. I was thinking about making a light show with selected lights on all sides on without flashing to illuminate an area when parked. I like that it doesn't time out.
The light show is definitely not your typical flashing hazards. All of the lights alternate left to right and front to back. If one of the built-in light shows doesn't suit you, you can program your own. I'll post a video later if somebody else doesn't. My Taser DT is uninstalled right now...
The programmer chatted with me. He's going to try a delayed write. Hopefully that will get us fixed up! Z-Automotive has excellent and responsive support.
I sent a message through their support page and texted them as well. My observation is just a hunch but I've been programming touchscreens and displays for 30 years. Either way, I'm sure their programmer is a smart guy. He'll get it fixed, no doubt.
That's awesome. I deal with programming embedded controls for work. The fix looks simple. Add a short delay to display writes so it overwrites the Pulsar instead of the Pulsar overwriting the Tazer DT.
Uninstalled the Pulsar and everything works. I enabled Video in motion and disabled Fog Light dropout on High Beams and mapped the Resume button to display the Backup Cam (Sorroundview screen). Works perfect.
Live Functions like line lock and high idle (winch mode) work great. 0-30 and 0-60...
I think he wants to add the active air dam and possibly recalibrate the Aero height to the non-Off Road Group height. Not sure it's worth the trouble for the small gain but people love to tinker!
That's a Witech terminal (dealer diagnostic software) setting and I doubt many techs know how to set those values. It sure would be nice if they would publish that info and offer it through dealers.
I'm using DIY air susprnsion links to level mine. I can't get the back perfectly level before I...
I wasn't clear. Yes, I'll either need to uninstall the Pulsar or pull the PCM fuse. Not sure pulling the fuse will work since some of the settings may reside in the PCM and the Tazer DT might not be happy with it missing. We'll see.
Just got it. Plugged it in at work. It doesn't interfere with Pulsar but Pulsar interferes with the display. The Pulsar operates as expected. Tazer DT will flash the menu item then Pulsar quickly overwrites it. They are both writing to the same interface, which I expected. I was hoping the...
