That goes into the points of the video- other manufacturers reacted better than stellantis. The underlying reason is the same though, the gov’t pushing mandates.
We’re watching RAM run themselves into the ground in real time. If it weren’t for fleet sales, they would go the way of Pontiac, Saturn, and many others. <- Just personal opinion
If the EPA didn’t fiddlefart in everything then we wouldn’t be here talking about this, sooooo…. I believe it is the Govt’s fault, and Stellantis sucks at planning and their reactions. Nobody would be adding extra BS to the emission systems if the EPA didn’t mandate it.
This thread about a guy who found a “white substance” in his crawlspace has some hilarious references. I don’t know if I just cross paths with a certain community a lot or if it’s really that big a story (with underpinnings of two standards of justice)
I had 1 year and 11k on my ‘21 hemi with no trips to the dealer. My ‘22 ecodiesel has 2 recalls but I haven’t been to the dealer yet, especially since there’s no eta for parts on the fuel pump recall.
I understand, and they all have problems. Things on the manufacturing front are still a mess- when some manufacturers are doubling their allotments for warranty repairs (Stellantis and Ford are two who’ve done that for the 2023 MY), you know things are bad.
Edit: originally said RAM, meant...
I might’ve read another title near it and mixed it up when reading the OP’s post. The same concept applies with any strut though- it’s all about overall length.
I just looked and they’re all so close in price that I don’t think it’s worth trying an unknown brand. The jdmspeed brand is cheaper on ebay. There’s also a possibility that all of them come from the same chinese factory, but I’m speculating on that.
I believe they’re with 68274659AA (that’s drivers side and passenger side might be a different number), but I don’t know for sure.
Going back to the OP mentioning they are thinking about putting a light behind the holes, that might look good if one long rectangle was cut out of the three small...
I’d have to search part numbers, but there’s a possibility the frames are different also. IIRC, there are 12 different frame part numbers available for the ‘19-23 ram 1500. I don’t know which ones are superseded numbers of the same frame though.
I don’t know, and my answers just general brainstorming based on past experience building custom vehicles. I’d have to have the parts in front of me to make a determination. That being said, anything could be made to work with enough effort.
I’m throwing out ideas with this and showing a progression of options from most to least labor intensive:
1. “Shave” it, meaning it will be filled in and welded closed, then smoothed over with a little filler and painted.
2. Take a piece of plastic (or metal if you’re feeling adventurous)...
