yeah I was
Yeah I was surprised, probably it is cheaper for them to have it everywhere than use different wiring for different trims. So if I read it right I should need only new mirror, light and cable and it should be possible to make it work. I am putting it down to my list!
Just a side note for groceries. I have $15 cargo dividing bar from Harbor Freight which secures two containers against the tailgate -> perfect set up for the groceries etc shopping especially when combined with tonneau cover
I would love to set it up on the bench with just camera and mirror and see if I could make it work.. I wonder if those extra wires are a full bus which communicate with the mirror microcontroller and let it use the cam, or can there be just 12v signal pin. I do not have experience with car...
I know I am super super late but for future users I used -> "ABS Bosh/Continental/Teves/TRW Power Net My2019+ PowerNET" for 2021 RAM 1500. If you have 3500 maybe you could use the one with HD?
Anyway it worked like charm once I realized that circumference is not diameter :D
Agree! Spending $50k+ to "save" 2% interest seems well strange. Practically any even very conservative fund will beat it and as said in today volatile times you can beat it by as much as tenfold.
and fish the new cable all the way to the glovebox connector, correct?
I still wonder what makes mirror not show the camera without the additional wires.. Because if I understand it right the camera is directly connected to the mirror by coax, so there is no actual need for any other input, it...
Hi Jimmy - do I understand correctly that having auto dim mirror is the must in order for it to be possible to install the digital mirror and CHMSL with camera? Truck with manual dimming mirror have cables up to the connector next to glovebox, but not all the way to the mirror so camera will...
Great thread as I am going to do it next Saturday and it is going to be first car I ever get tint on.
My plan is to go 35% all 4 side windows, which would make rear sides~5% as they are already smoked (At least that is my theory) And then I will do the rear to 5%. . My main goal is heat and UV...
The only good point about buying tires online is if you can find someone form other state who will not charge your tax.. depends on where you live though
you were right it is a dealership deal - but I did not pay for it (at least it was not listed as independent price tag on my paperwork)! I am smarter now
I also vote for discount tire. I got Atturo Trail Blades XT because I really liked the look and price but I could not stand the noise. They took them back even after I drove around 300 miles on them without any questions. They also matched online price of Nitto Grappler which saved me $50/tire...
Sure if you are confident you will pay it off interest/loan condition is what matters.
I would not recommend to pay in cash today as dealerships usually provide insentive if you finance through them and also interests are so low today that you are better off having money (IMHO)
I am very sorry for your car and happy that you are ok. It is great to hear that Truck did his job, since I dry my family in it often I am glad to hear it!
Always better to have a totaled car and heathy body then the opposite! And on the bright side you can now shop for new one with all the...
btw the level will make a world of the a difference with light.. I really like how it illuminates at night now, while I have never been flash or anything like that from other cars..
