Got my first deer with my new Ram.

Deer cause a lot of vehicle damage, I have a scanner in my kitchen not a day goes by without several car deer calls. My wife has gotten then with her Equinox ( a $5000 tag) and her Jeep Compass (buff out a scuff). My kids hit several while growing up. My old Dakota took out at least 6 of the...

    Overheating the 4x4 system

The activation of the t-case clutch pack was electrical, after it was engaged electrically the ball and cam in the t-case applied much more clamping force to the clutch pack. When the ball and cam didn't apply the clamping force the clutch pack would slip under load and over heat. The physical...

    Overheating the 4x4 system

I have not seen a parts breakdown of the newer t-case in the new 1500's. The modes of operation are the same as the previous ones, if the internals are similar under decent traction conditions they will hookup and work good. The previous ones such as I had in my 2015 Big Horn and a ball and cam...

Side View Mirrors Reverse Tilt - Intermittent Does Not Return to Normal Position

Can't help you with that issue. I tried using the tilt feature but it tilted the mirrors so far that all I could see was the ground. Couldn't see a trailer or anything behind me except the ground right behind me. Had to turn it off.

    Question for Northerners...

Well I run a tad bit different then many on here I guess. If the weather is predicting a storm I tend to keep between 2-300 pounds in the rear of the bed. I burn coal in my fireplace insert so I toss 5-10 bags of coal in the bed. I also run what I consider to be about the best dedicated snow...

Does your truck have a name?

The only time I name mine is when it's acting up. Then the names aren't repeatable.

    Lug breaker bar recommendation.

Cordless impact with 100# torque stick, then finish with torque wrench adapter on breaker bar. As far as the cap getting loose on the nuts, once they are loose pry them off and use a different socket that fits, or buy some solid aftermarket lug nuts.

Get the Best Price on a Factory Extended Warranty

I just went ahead and got mine also; I went with the 8 year 125,000 on my 2019 with 20,000 just about $3300. She was put in service 2/28/19 so good till 2/28/27, now to see if I make it that long.

    Overheating the 4x4 system

Well according to Borg Warner this new t case is better then sliced bread, I believe that when I see how well it functions next winter as I have a very challenging driveway. When it gets iced up or wet slippery snow the t case deficiencies really show up. From B-W...

    Overheating the 4x4 system

I also had Brandon's switch in my 15 Big Horn eco, it definitely helped that truck. The auto function along with much of the FCA programing was a major disappointment to me. I had hoped that the programming and "transfer case upgrades" had been enough to over come the short comings that the...

    Rear bed step question/issue

I installed the bed step in my 2019 1500 last week. I used a part # 82215289AG Mopar step. To install it required removeing 2 bolts and reinstalling them plus a third bolt that was supplied that went into a tapped hole, there was a forth point which was a keyhole type pin which slotted down into...

    Some Real World MPG Numbers

Exhaust is still stock but she does have a nice rumble when you get on it or loaded going up a hill. But the little eco would pull hills and loads almost as good, and the bottom end was better.

    Some Real World MPG Numbers

I just picked up my 2019 5.7 a couple of weeks ago. My 15 that I traded was the 3.0 eco diesel when I got this truck it was abit over a 300 mile round trip. My eco diesel was 25-26 mpg, my new 5.7 on the return trip got 18.1 mpg on the same roads at the same speeds. Mostly just a bit over 60...

    Under Seat Storage

Well after reading the several threads and looking at all the options for underseat storage I wasn't sure what to do. The owner built ones actually looked like the best way to go. I have the under floor boxes and the heavy RAM floor mat, any thing that restricted the ease of accessing the boxes...

2019 Laramie Hemi replaced a 2015 Big Horn ecodiesel

Mine had given me just minor problems, the tone ring which I think most will get sooner or later. And the recalls. I had 95000 miles on mine and I was on the fence about getting rid of it. Depending on how the stories go on the newer ones in 3-4 years may be looking for another eco diesel.

2019 Laramie Hemi replaced a 2015 Big Horn ecodiesel

Evening all, Joined this group as I just traded my 2015 ecodiesel with 95,000 miles towards a 2019 Laramie with the 5.7 Hemi and 20,000 miles. I'm missing the mileage of the eco diesel. Where I picked up the Laramie was 150 miles away from me ended up makeing two round trips, one to check it out...
