That’s a much better seal design than the ESI product! Looks like it should work out perfectly!
I’m going to seal behind my silver rails, but need to figure out what to do at the tailgate end of them so any collected water doesn’t just dump into the box at the end of the silver rail.
Is there any way for the driver to hard reset the radio, other than pull a fuse? The power button when pressed or held down for an extended period clearly doesn’t restart the SW. curious if you learned a new trick for an actual “hard reset”
I’ve had the large square seal on for about 6mo and seems to be holding up well for me. I just put the ESI tailgate seal at the bottom over the weekend and it sure looks like I should have the tailgate sealed well now.
I’m using a Retrax cover but the rails have a similar design...
Mine is within that same 20-25F error at all times. I park in a garage so my direct sunlight exposures while not driving are pretty minimal. Seems my drift is usually pretty small, just there is a consistent offset.
Brought mine back in last week, and for a 3rd time they replaced the ambient temperature sensor. And for a 3rd time, my temp is off by 20-25F. How many times do we need to replace the same component to understand it’s not the cause?
So at this point this issue has caused my truck to be in 3x...
For what it’s worth, my seals on the Retrax look basically identical and leak water as well... not just a little but quite a lot. I think partially my warped rambox lids are to blame, but the design is not very well thought out, either.
I pulled out all of my rail shims to get the seal as...
Wow, I appreciate you taking the time to write out that level of detail. I would have never anticipated this level of involvement just to put rear heat in!
It seems it should be pretty straight forward to go aftermarket for rear heat. Would be nice to wire a factory switch to make the...
Really like how this one turned out. I’m curious if you could fit even bigger, say up to 40”? Seems close from a crude measurement. I’ll have to jump under the truck to figure it out
Also wonder if it’s possible to remove the mesh and put a curved bar up front directly in its place. I’d need to...
Sheesh those look great, sort of regret selling mine now. That said, I don’t want to minimize the work and cost that went into making those chrome wheels black.
Nice work! Glad to see someone do this successfully
This is my exact experience. Yours and mine seem unique, as most other complaints are only a few degrees off after driving for 10-15mins. Mine is wrong always, and always high by 20-30F.
It’s been an inconvenience with the auto start features, I get cooled seats on when it’s chilly outside. Now...
I disconnected the entire air dam and removed the wire connector from the motor. I just zip tied the wire up under the bumper and taped the connector to avoid any corrosion. No error lights for me.
Put me in the same camp of people saying they can’t even feel when ECO turns on/off. My truck is so smooth in between, I turned the ECO light on just to give me awareness whether the feature was working or not. Without a doubt, this is the smoothest drivetrain on a vehicle I’ve owned. For...
I think you’ll be hard pressed to find many of us with a Hemi getting over 20mpg at 75mph, to be honest.
I haven’t done anything to help fuel mileage with 33” aggressive tires and a lift, but I’d be happy to see 16-17mpg on the highway. My truck never saw over 18mpg in stock trim.
Anyways, I...
Can you take a pic with the tailgate open looking at the end of the rails. Can’t tell exactly what’s going on here, if anything is different. It looks like you don’t have the overhanging gasket at all in that picture.
Any interference with the Ramboxes?
Maybe they made a fix?!
Also, where did...
Man, I looked all over for a set of used spacers before placing my order... someone better snatch these up.
I went 2” front and back, still really happy with the stance over stock. This is a major change in aggressive appearance for the Ram, IMO, and the Bora spacers are an excellent product...
I cut that triangle off of the entire length of the weatherstripping. With the triangle, I found the seal didn’t sit flat against the bed anywhere, removing the triangle helped to lay it down.
I’d say it still isn’t perfect, but a whole lot better than with the triangle. I used to have...
