    Retrofitting the 33 gallon tank

68408875AD. Check that one. FCA notorious for making an insane number of part numbers for literally same part. Shows: Ram 1500 5.7L HEMI V8 LARAMIE CREW CAB 2019, 2020

68408872AB. That shows for the eco diesel.

That TT value I’m fairly confident is the serial number. The part numbers are the ones that end in two letters like AA, AB, AC, etc.

    Retrofitting the 33 gallon tank

According to the parts info, yes they are the same. This is for the new 33gal part number 68408876AD That replaced part number 68408876AC What it fits: Ram 1500 3.6L V6 4WD Big Horn Crew Cab 2019, 2020 Ram 1500 3.6L V6 4WD Big Horn Extended Cab 2019, 2020 Ram 1500 3.6L V6 4WD Lone Star...

    Retrofitting the 33 gallon tank

Those part numbers don’t bring up anything. FCA themselves should know what it means. Those don’t match my 26gal tank I removed either.

    26 Gallon to 33 Gallon Fuel/Gas tank

I looked into these briefly when I thought I hit a wall on my 33gal conversion early on. But my main issue with these was cost was much more (granted I get a crap load more capacity as it’s in addition to my stock tank) but I also lose that space in my short bed. I use my bed a decent amount...

    26 Gallon to 33 Gallon Fuel/Gas tank

Yeap going from 23 to 33 will cost a lot more mainly cause you need a new fuel pump and evap canister. Rammit (another member on that large thread did it) and he incurred more costs due to that. But if you got a tank from junkyard technically it comes with the evap canister and fuel pump unless...

    Retrofitting the 33 gallon tank

Seems like their own policy. Mine clearly shipped it to me. So I guess keep looking. Tank isn’t small by any means. It’s like 5-6ft long. Mine was about 200miles away and guy was making a delivery to a body shop about 15mins from me so it worked out that he just threw it on the truck and I met...

    26 Gallon to 33 Gallon Fuel/Gas tank

Yes there is a few threads on this. The one listed is massive and goes into a lot of details. I personally did this myself yes. And it’s been working like a champ. Everything works like factory as I reprogrammed there tank capacity using AlfaOBD. Cost wise it set me back only just a shade...

    Retrofitting the 33 gallon tank

Rammit came from a 23, I came from a 26 when we did this conversion. My parts list is different because of that. I listed in previous posts exactly all the items I needed based on what I got from the junkyard (Tank, EVAP canister, etc).

    Retrofitting the 33 gallon tank

Yea those are not it. That’s too close to the driveshaft. That pic I sent was basically directly under the drivers side frame rail from under the rear seat side basically. No clue what those studs are you are showing. And correct the tank floats with the fuel straps and is connected to the...

    Retrofitting the 33 gallon tank

@Apexbasher what does it look like when you say two threaded studs in the body? So you dont see this bracket at all like referenced (which is of my truck that Rammit circled the bracket on). The threaded stud that sticks straight down (top left of the image) is the stud for the fuel strap...

    AlfaOBD

I dont know if its the adapter. I have some cheap knockoff I paid $15 on amazon for and its been working just fine. I just went out and had to take pics of my tablet since thats my only Android device. I redid this to show the steps of changing the fuel capacity, worked fine.

    AlfaOBD

Yea try 2013-2017. I know I used that one. I know the other two didn’t work or won’t show the fuel capacity. It’s same BCM basically. The app hasn’t been well updated. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    AlfaOBD

Can you go through the steps you took to get the error? Mines a 2019 Limited and not a classic and had no issues changing this. Few others haven’t had an issue either. I go to 2013-2017 Mode year. Then PowerNet. Then car configuration change. Should be under vehicle configuration 3 I...

    Retrofitting the 33 gallon tank

If you go back to that post and go forward you will see how i did this, best way honestly is get the tank from a junkyard with most of the components on it. I went through details on what parts I needed and I believe are needed. Rammit also compiled a list, his was slightly different cause he...

    Retrofitting the 33 gallon tank

There was no skid plate on the tank for my limited so not sure. The only key difference in the tanks (26 vs 33) is the 33gal has a longer end (which basically goes under the rear seats more. The rest of the tank is identical (26 vs 33) if you look at my pics on post 117...

    Retrofitting the 33 gallon tank

Theres so many of these part numbers and hard to keep it all in track since I dont have access to the actual dealer parts network side. But the one ending in 75C seems to state its for 5.7L and the one ending in 76C seems to say its for 3.6L but both are 33gal tanks as far as description goes...
