It's embarrassing when I tell friends how posh my $63k Ram is, but then have to deflect laughter when I show them a $8 Harbor Freight clamp set has to rectify a known air conditioning issue that Ram doesn't have a remedy for - even though they acknowledged my system was problematic while it was...
Since my dealer recently had my Limited in for over a week with no change in performance afterward, and since I won't be able to replicate the temp. issue until next summer due to PA's change of seasons, my Ram case was closed. Hopefully, they'll step up and recall the problem or buyback...
...and after 10 months and 9700 miles of ownership, today was the first time I had condensation dripping on my path into the driveway and a puddle honestly appeared under where I parked it.

So, I made a trip to Harbor Freight today and installed one of these pinch clamps. Guess what? After a 3-4 mile test drive, the A/C was considerably colder. The only 2 things that still disappoint me is that FCA hasn't come up with a fix for this common Ram issue and that I didn't have the...

Here's my story: My A/C was extremely warm during hot/humid days, and Ram opened a case. When I took my Ram in for the airbag recall, I also wanted them to review A/C performance. After testing, they agreed there was an issue and ended up keeping the truck for a week. Upon receiving a call...

It's funny (and sad) that there are so many documented A/C problems, but FCA has skirted any responsibility in rectifying the issue. With autumn and cooler temps on the horizon for most of the US, I assume they're hoping the issue will subside. Nonsense.

Although I like the hack idea for a 5-10 year old vehicle that's out of warranty, I don't appreciate having to do a personal modification on a $60k+ truck where the manufacturer isn't willing to come up with a suitable repair knowing there are that many owners with an a/c issue. Nonsense.
So, I've been relatively overall displeased with A/C performance in my limited; however, with recent temperatures of 85+, the A/C feels no different than having the outside vents turned on. If the A/C is blowing 60 degrees at 85 -90 outside temperatures, I wouldn't be surprised. Sad thing is...
