If you want opinions I can give you mine. But my two cents shouldn't mean anything to anyone. It's your money, your truck, don't let anyone else tell you what you want. My thought is the wheel has to fit the styling of the truck. For instance the rebel has a lot of matte black. Grille, bumpers...
I've had 2 - 5th gens with 6" lifts, one Fabtech and one BDS (go BDS). Both with 20x10's, both with 35x12.50s. Black one has -18 offset, blue one -24. Here they are
Then here is my current one next to my brother's Big Horn before he lifted his.
Then here is mine before and after if this...
Swapped the BDS NXT shocks for Fox 2.0's. Ride is so much better. Just as a side by side test the NXT (twin tube junk) took 35 sec to fully extend from a fully collapsed position. The Fox's took 16 sec.
Update**
I just greased the slip yoke and it's totally fixed. So much better! When I pulled it out it was BONE dry. I used Lucas Red n Tacky. We will see how long it last.
I believe I need to do the grease job on mine. I've developed a clunk anytime I start to accelerate, forward or reverse. If I really ease into it then nothing happens, but when I accelerate like normal it's like a noticeable clunk/pop. I really hear it in my parking garage when I throw it in...
Can't say I disagree with you there. The 6.4 Hemi in the 2500s is aging as well. Ford has the 6.8 and 7.3 gas in addition to the diesel, but I really like how GM just mated their 6.6 gas to the 10 speed. I agree that the half ton market is so stupid it's comical. You can get a whole truck for...
I saw your video on it, good stuff. In my own personal opinion I believe Ram needs more than just a base 6 cylinder, 5.7 and High Output Turbo 6. I think GM does it best with 2-V8's, a diesel, and a turbocharged engine. Ford too with a V8, two turbocharged engines (could be considered 3 but the...
I can see both sides of it. I will disagree with theblet here, I had top hat spacers AND new control arms (all in one kit, same manufacturer so they should be matched right?) and I had issues. Enough issues that instead of spending more money to fix it I just got rid of the truck and started...
I can't exactly help you, but I had a 2019 Laramie with the off road group so it had the same 1" factory raised ride height. I put 2" spacers and new control arms and had 35x11.50r20s (285/65r20). I put 1.25" Bora wheel spacers on also.
I wouldn't do it again. It rode like dog crap. It's like...
Why don't you let me worry about all of that!!!!!!!! Quit trying to think for me. You assume I'm too stupid to know my truck is still running. You assume a child won't put it in gear if they hear the 3 horn chirps (cause the chirps don't change our ways and habits). You assume I'm parking in a...
No 8.4
To clarify, 8.4 inch on current truck, 12" on previous truck. Both trucks had 35s, both trucks speedo recal at the dealer in the express lane while I waited. No issues with either.
If I didn't need the full size room I would be in a Gladiator, either a Rubicon or Mojave. I like the Mojave for the reinforced frame, remote resi Fox 2.5's, hydraulic bump stops etc. I just couldn't swing it with a car seat in the back. They have to have 35's or 37's to look right imo. Bonus is...
My reply is exactly what others have said. Adjust the door stops, notch the beam, park outside. So I have no further comment. This is just like the window tint topic, you just have to be heard huh? STFU
Not yet, but I will be in the next 6 months or year. I had some Powerstop Z series on a previous truck and I really liked them. Put about 60k miles with no issues.
